It was a show that shaped a generation, the most iconic of its time: The Jersey Shore. If you don't remember, it was a reality tv show that followed eight people throughout their time in Seaside Heights. These self-proclaimed "Guidos" and "Guidettes," spent their summers working at the "Shore Store" while impressively proving their tolerance for alcohol, drinking all day and all night.
Never failing to be trashy, bar fights or house fights were an every episode occurrence. One of the most entertaining shows on television, it's no wonder it's still being talked about today, some of the most iconic moments happened on the show, here are the best five episodes that have premiered on MTV's The Jersey Shore.
1. Season 3, Episode 3: Where's the Beach
In my opinion, one of the greatest television episodes of all time. The self-proclaimed "meatball" Snooki (Nicole Polizzi), decides working at the Shore Store sober just isn't in the cards today. After spending her time at the bar, Snooki takes to the boardwalk trying to lay on the beach. As imaginable, the boardwalk lines the sand on the beach in Seaside Heights.
Snooki runs around the boardwalk in utter confusion why she can't find the beach, asking people all over the boardwalk, she finally finds the beach. She attempts to go swimming with her purse and all her clothes on, the episode then continues with Snooki being forcibly put into a cop car, as you can imagine, "Public Intoxication" isn't the best thing to have on your record.
2. Season 5, Episode 7: Love at the Jersey Shore
Denna and Snooki make an apology cake to show Danny their remorse for ditiching work to get drunk. Deena and Snooki take their eyes off of it for one minute and there's a piece gone. They decide there can only be one culprit: Mike the Situation. After all the drama he has caused in the house, it's not too far-fetched of a guess.
They turn all the roommates against Mike claiming him to be a thief. We hear multiple times throughout the episode Mike yell "I DIDN'T EAT IT, I AM ON A DIET." How is it possible to believe him after all he's done.
He claims to be the scapegoat in the house. Always being blamed for crimes he did not commit, he feels like an outsider. After turning nearly everyone they know against the cake stealer, Pauly D sits Deena down on the couch. And we then find out, Pauly D is the cake stealer. Apologies are in order for Mike, but he doesn't receive them well.
3. Season 2, Episode 5: The Letter
After catching Ronnie in adulterous acts, Snooki and Jenni had had enough. A Ronnie and Sammi fight never fails to be the center of an episode. It's either Sammi's atrocious eye makeup running down her face or Ronnie's impressively large neck vein popping out, sometimes if we're lucky it's both.
Jenni and Snooki, being sworn enemies with Sammi still cared about her but knew she would be suspicious if they tried to help her relationship. They instead believed an anonymous letter addressed to Sammi would save her relationship and help them avoid the drama. Yet, the drama never lags on this show.
4. Season 1, Episode 8: One Shot
After meeting a nice girl named "Danielle", Pauly D believes he's found his girl. Yet they don't "smoosh", they end the night with Danielle walking home and Pauly D promising he will call her. But instead, Danielle begins to stalk Pauly D's whole life. Anywhere he is, he turns around and she's there, she's outside the house, on the boardwalk, EVERYWHERE.
Once again, Pauly D tells her he'll call but instead, she calls the shore house first furiously looking for Pauly D. Our stalker's relationship with Pauly D ends with a phone call with some pretty iconic lines: "YOU'VE BEEN STALKING MY WHOLE ENTIRE LIFE," "I'M TALKING NOW," "IT'S MY TURN." And Danielle was never mentioned again.
5. Season 4, Episode 5: And the Wall Won
One of the greatest fights to ever be aired on television: Mike the Situation versus the Wall. Mike tells Sammi Ronnie was planning on cheating on her, with multiple girls planning on flying to Italy to see him; as Sammi confronts Ron, they figure out the true culprit of this situation, the Situation himself.
Ron's neck vein never fails us, nervous it's actually going to blow, Mike slams his own head into the wall through his own spit thinking it'll prove to Ron not to mess with him. Mike falls to the ground, his eyes in a daze, the roommates decide the need to call an ambulance.
The Italian ambulance comes and takes Mike out on a stretcher, after a few hours at the hospital, the Situation is cleared to come home with a new accessory, a neck brace. With doctors orders to rest and relax, Mike slips into a slight depression not being able to GTL in Italy.
Every time a roommate looks at Mike, he winces in pain. Yet, he discovers the only way to look cool in his neck brace, is to add some sunglasses into the mix while he sits on the couch. Ronnie, Sammi, Mike and the wall make up, and Mike can finally get his fist pumping on in Italy.
