So we are back at that time of the year where we all want to watch heartwarming movies and eat delicious food that is probably rather high in calories but tastes great. And, while we all know the classical movies, such as elf, there are some others that people don't watch as much, but you should definitely give them a try.
1. "The Holiday"
Perhaps I am a sucker for romantic comedies, but this is by far one of my favorite movies to watch on a cold winter day. It's set during Christmas, so it has that holiday spirit, and it has two fun love stories that will leave you grinning and happy.
2. "The Polar Express"
Before you scream "IT'S A KID'S MOVIE" watch this movie. While, yes, it is indeed a kids movie, this is one movie that you should be able to enjoy regardless of your age. Not only was it a well done movie, it has a lovely message, and it will take you on a wild ride emotionally.
3. "Trading Places"
I found this to be a hilarious comedy with just enough holiday spirit to make it onto this list. While it doesn't focus on a Christmas story per se it was definitely Christmas themed and it will make you laugh and enjoy yourself.
4. "The Nightmare before Christmas"
You may or may not agree with me on this, but, to me, this is not solely a Halloween movie. It's about a man who longed for something different, and he found it in the spirit of Christmas. While it certainly has spooky imagery and dark themes, it can be enjoyable to watch in the dead of night after everyone has gone to bed, but you haven't, because sleep is for the weak.
5. "A Christmas Carol" (2009 version)
