Los Angeles is home to old Hollywood stars, weed enthusiasts, and apparently one or two ghosts too. So in the spirit (see what I did there) of Halloween I have found the five most haunted places in LA. If you're dressing up as the Ghostbusters this week, check out these haunted places.
1. Colorado Street Bridge
Since 1930 the Colorado Street Bridge has been affectionately called the “Suicide Bridge” as it has had more than a 100 people jump from it since the Great Depression. There have also been multiple sightings of ghosts that have supposedly haunted the place since. A worker who fell into concrete is supposed to be seen wandering on the bridge.
2. Hotel Cecil
Hotel Cecil is undergoing a complete makeover including a name change. Soon to be called Ollie, it has a history of housing drug wars and murderers. Serial killers like Richard Ramirez, or “Night Stalker,” and Jack Unterweger stayed here. Once a woman's decomposing body was found in the water tower after being labeled missing for three weeks.
3. Wonderland Murders House
Pornstar John Holmes killed four drug dealers here and ever since the ghosts have been pissed. Visitors say that they have been pushed by invisible entities at night.
4. Old Zoo, Griffith Park
Once a zoo, it has closed down and is only open as picnic places during the day. However, during the night the place evades a sense of panic and a feeling tragedy has occurred here. In fact, some say if you listen closely you can hear a wolf howling or an animal crying.
5. Beverly Hills Bermuda Triangle
For once, this place isn’t only haunted by ghosts but for some reason is home to a lot of unfortunate accidents. Bugsy Siegel was killed here and Howard Hughes crashed a plane. Jay & Dean died in a crazy car accident. A publicist was killed in a random drive-by shooting. Psychics have said they see visions of pain.
So if you're tired of dressing up as cats for frat parties this week and excited for the spooky festivities make sure to check out these places.
