I love Christmas. It is my favorite time of the year, but I am a broke college student. I have a pretty big family, so I am shopping on a budget this year. Here are some ideas that I have thought of to get my family members.

1. Chargers from Five Below

One can never have too many chargers. As of right now, I have seven cords and none of them work. Even my Apple chargers stopped working, and when I am at school I can't run to an Apple store and exchange it. I try to stock up on chargers, so I am always prepared.

2. Photo Monogram Letter

Sometimes, homemade gifts are the best gifts. This is a great way to make a memorable, everlasting gift for someone. This is especially great for a friend because you can fill it with all your favorite pictures with them. Or you can make one for your a mother, put pictures of the family on it, and make the letter the first letter of your last name.

3. Food

You can never go wrong baking someone cookies, brownies, or making a fruit basket. Nothing shows love like yummy food! Pinterest is filled with awesome ideas that you could do.

4. Jewelry

You can find so many cool jewelry for under $5 on Etsy. Not only is it inexpensive, it is unique, and it is helping someone out! Etsy has a lot of cute necklaces, earrings, and bracelets. I have bought a few pieces of jewelry off of Etsy and they have lasted me a long time!

5. Candles

I get my mom a candle almost every year. We always have so many candles out, and they truly add a homey aspect to any household. Candles come in so many different smells, styles, and colors. Any mother, girlfriend, or grandmother would love a candle.

Christmas is approaching fast. If you are anything like me, you are currently stressing about how much you will have to spend on everyone. But I promise you can find so many awesome gifts with a budget! You just have to get creative.

Dear Mom,

You took care of me and my brothers our entire lives and you still continue to! I will not be able to truly grasp all of the hard work that you put into this family until I create my own one day. But, I know that there are plenty of times I forgot to give you a simple thank you or an appreciative smile. I thank you for everything that you have done for me and will continue to do for me. Here are some examples of those times where you had my back and I forgot to pat your back for saving me:

College is hard. As people ages 18-22, we’re just trying to figure out what we’re doing with our lives, our careers, our eating habits, exercise routines, sleep patterns, and other necessities for adult life. We definitely don’t take proper care of ourselves; it’s basically impossible when we have essays, tests and readings due and somehow we’re supposed to eat right, exercise and sleep. We’re doomed to get sick. I have zero experience in science but when I get sick there are certain things I do to make myself better.

Now that it seems “talking” is the new way to date, and will stay that way until another idiotic term is used to describe the people who can’t settle down and just date someone, I feel as if it’s time to go over the unwritten rules of “talking.”

Rule 1. Having feeling without feeling.
