Valentine's Day... it's either a day to celebrate if you're in a relationship, long term or brand new, or a day to spend with your best friends. If you do happen to be in a relationship with a man, it can be tricky to know what to get him. It's safe to say that most guys do not want the typical flowers, stuffed animal, chocolates, and balloons. Sometimes the best gift doesn't need to be a crazy romantic present, but something practical and thoughtful!
1. Boxers
Most men either somehow lose their underwear, don't wash it enough until they are unwearable (gross I know) or just enjoy having a big collection of underpants! Boxers are the perfect uncomplicated gift to get. A nice pair from Calvin Klein or Vineyard Vines should always do the trick!
2. A Comfy Sweatshirt
It doesn't seem to romantic or the type of gift you would give on Valentine's Day, but men love their comfy sweatshirts. Sweatshirts somehow give people a sense of safety and comfort, so why not give that to your man? Make sure you know his favorite color and find the most simple, soft, and comfiest sweatshirt you can get. Remember you're just going to end up stealing it in a few months anyways.
3. A Stylish Weekender Bag
Many guys just either end up taking some very old gross backpack they have had for ages on a weekend trip away, they bring their childhood carry on suitcase which most likely has disgusting stains on it, or they bring their smelly stink infested gym bag. A nice weekender bag is the perfect gift for anyone, but your man will absolutely love it!
4. A Fancy Steak Dinner
Somehow it's always the guys taking us out to the fancy $150 dinners, so why can't we? Indulge you and your man to a fancy restaurant of his choice and let him know that you're paying and that he should just enjoy himself. Sometimes a nice fancy, juicy steak is all you need to show him that you love him!
5. A New Wallet
Replace his crappy, old, and wrinkled with a nice leather one! Men never think that it's important to go out and buy a new wallet when they have "a perfectly good one" that just so happens to have rips and tears in it and can only hold 2 credits cards. Some guys just don't spend a ton of money on a nice wallet but that doesn't mean they don't want one! Splurge a little and get him something he truly deserves.
Valentine' Day can be tricky when shopping for a loved one, just remember that every gift you get them they will know it's from the heart and a lot of thought was put into it! Take the time to think about what your significant other needs instead of just wants because chances are they're going to appreciate you buying them the thing they didn't want to spend the money on.
