Yeah, some might be really recent and some might be as old as your great-great grandmother. but these are the movies that make me wish I were always living in the world of “love.”
1. The Notebook
I mean, come on! If you haven’t watched this movie, then what are you doing? I could watch this movie over and over again in a single day. I would love to walk into a carnival and have a hottie scoop me out from the crowd and ask me out on a date. Even though going out on a date with a stranger might not be safe nowadays, it's super cute to watch the love story of Ali and Noah. I love that fact that this movie shows that in order for a relationship to work then you have to fight for it and its not easy to get to the “perfect” stage, but if you both have the mindset that you want to be together than it will work out one day. My favorite scene is when Ali finally finds out about the letters Noah has been writing to her and when he gives Ali a whole speech. “It wont be easy its going to be hard… I want you and all of you forever and ever you and me.”
2. The Fault in Our Stars
I don’t have much to say about this movie but the fact that I was sitting in the movie theater with my boyfriend at the time and we were both bawling our eyes out during it all, basically. After the movie, we both literally told each other how much we both meant to one another in the car and realized that things can happen in the blink of a moment so you better love as hard as you can while you can. If you think you can’t cry during movies, then you best watch this alone and I bet you, you will.
3. The Vow
I mean, first of all during the scene where Paige wakes up from her coma and “Leo” played by the beautiful Channing Tatum tells her that he is her husband and she denies it is when I’m sitting during the movie thinking, "IF I WOKE UP FROM A COMA AND A GOOD LOOKING PERSON TELLS ME I'M THEIR WIFE, I WON'T DENY OR QUESTION IT!" But anyway, this movie is also a tearjerker and will make you want to find a perfect husband one day that will love you so much that he will stick by your side to help you regain memory of your life. All the dates and cute things Leo would do for Paige is what I envy the most.
4. If I Stay
This movie made me appreciate my family and wish that nothing bad ever happens to us in a car accident. When Mia’s family all passes away and all she is left is with is her little brother, it made me realize how fast life can happen. The romantic part that I loved the most was when her ex-boyfriend comes running to the hospital and although they are broken up, he never leaves her side until she recovers because he realized how much she means to him. Mia can see her self from the "outside" of her body since her spirit is watching everything from the outside, seeing her fight for her own life and forgiving her boyfriend is what really got to me as well.
5. The Last Song
After I watched this movie, I immediately called my dad to tell him how much I loved him and how I want him to be healthy for forever, I couldn’t imagine losing a parent as young as Ronnie was. Seeing the love story between her and Will is to die for. The way he loves her and the way he made her change in every aspect was beautiful. I mean Ronnie went from punk rock, to a girl that wore flowy dresses and loved glitter. He did everything for her happiness and despite them breaking up, she did anything to get him back and it worked. What an emotional love story that was to watch.
