If you are not in the routine of using face masks, I would advice you start now. At a young age I developed a weird love for face masks. It has lead me to become consistent with my skin care routine. If you are able to find the right mask it can help hydrate your skin, remove excess oils, diminish fine lines, firm skin, and help improve the appearance of pores. And depending the type of mask you use, it can help pull out impurities. Aside from the many benefits one can receive from these masks you also get the time to relax, while your face mask is working. This will help you to de-stress and that alone can make you look and feel a whole lot better.

1. Sheet Masks

This is probably my favorite (if not only) trend from Korean Beauty. Sheet masks are my holy grail. I usually use Sephora brand or Dr. Jart+ for my sheet masks. The sheet masks are an ultra-hydrating hypoallergenic mask made of natural fiber and botanicals and each mask targets something different. You can find the water replenishment mask (like the one pictured above) if you have sensitive skin and are looking for an immediate cooling sensation, and skin feeling clean, hydrated, and completely refreshed. I have very sensitive skin therefore this is one of my favorites. Dr. Jart+ also carries the Brightening Infusion Hydrogel Mask, Pore Minimalist Black Charcoal Sheet Mask, All That Contours Hydrogel Expansion Stretch Mask, and many more.

2. boscia peel-off mask

This is another really fun mask that I recently discovered. My best friend gifted it to me, and I am obsessed. The brand "boscia" carries this mask in different types. They have the "Luminizing Black Mask" that helps boost skin clarity and minimizes the appearance of pores, removes dirt and impurities while absorbing excess oil to reveal a healthy glowing complexion. The "Green Tea Oil-Control" mask immediately eliminates excess shine and helps minimize oil production. The "Bright White Mask" brightens, hydrates, and reduces the appearance of fine lines and hyperpigmentation. You apply a thick layer of this mask, wait 25-30 minutes, and then gently peel it off and you immediately feel smoother skin.

3. Fresh Rose Face Mask

This mask coupled with the cleanser has left my skin feeling soft, hydrated, and clean every time I use it, which is usually 3 times a week. This mask is known to be a cult-favorite hydrating and toning gel mask that’s infused with real rose petals, pure rosewater, and a smart algae that delivers optimum moisture. This mask also has an immediate cooling and calming effect along with the beautiful sent of roses.

4. Proactiv Refining Mask/Purifying Mask

So this has been my go-to mask since I was in high school. It used the be called the refining mask but has been changed to purifying mask. I have always used Proactiv products and found that they really work on my skin whenever my skin becomes prone to break-outs. I do not apply it often because otherwise it would dry out my skin, but I do try to apply it atleast once bi-weekly. The mask has 6% sulfur and gently draws out impurities to deep clean pores.

5. Lush: Cosmetic Warrior

This is not the best smelling mask but it has everything one needs to prevent/ fight break outs. If you are not a fan of sulfur and rather go with natural products this is the perfect mask. This Lush mask is more gently on faces thanks to moisturizing egg whites and honey, which smooth and tighten the pores, and cleansing garlic and tea tree oil for a fresh, clear, happy face.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
