There weather has been so nice in Tallahassee so I'm sure right now all you're looking for is an excuse to leave your bed and escape your Zoom classes. Well, at least I know I am. Over the last few days, my friends and I have considered the possibilities of potential day trips we could take near us. If you're looking to do the same, here is a list of potential day trip destinations near you in Tallahassee.

1. Thomasville, GA

Thomasville, GA is approximately 50 minutes away from Tallahassee. While you're there you can find great places to eat, cute shops as well as some great photo spots.

2. St. George Island

St. George Island is another great place you can explore with friends. St. George Island is a little under two hours away. This spot is great if you're looking to have a beach day with friends. As a bonus, you can visit the St. George Light House which makes a really great photo spot.

3. Seaside, FL

Seaside is another great beach town to visit. While it is almost 2 and a half hours away, it is definitely worth the drive. In Seaside, you'll find the prettiest beaches and cutest shops. Not to mention, the best food trucks.

4. Jacksonville, FL 

If you're looking for another place that's just a little further away, consider going to Jacksonville. Jacksonville is definitely the place to go if you're looking for a little more to do. Since it's a bigger city, it'll offer more options of things to do.

5. Florida Caverns

Florida Caverns is the perfect place to go if you're looking for an outdoor adventure. It's just a little over an hour away from Tallahassee. There you'll have the opportunity to tour the caves.
