Finally, the time of the year has come, it's the end of finals, the end of another year, and Cinco de Mayo of course.
So here are 5 tips for Cinco de Mayo this year.
1. Wear comfortable shoes.
Honestly, your day could take you anywhere, so it's better to be prepared with comfy shoes in case you go who knows where. It's also good to be comfy too since you're going to be dartying all day into the night since Cinco is a Friday this year.
2. Hit up AJ's or Dunks.
Props to the people going straight this semester with their drinks, but just in case you need something that's going to taste good with your drink, definitely hit up AJ's or Dunks before going out. I recommend the coolattas.
3. Look out for your fellow wildcats and be considerate.
Just make sure your friends are safe, and if you see any other people who may look like they're struggling it doesn't hurt to just ask them if they're alright. Also perhaps just maybe don't wear a sombrero. I'm all for Cinco but maybe it wouldn't be the best to appropriate someone's culture. Just an idea though, you do you.
4. Carry your ID or phone in the best way you can.
We are all going to be all over the place, which means we are all prone to losing our stuff, and nothing is worse than being locked outside of your place because you lost your ID, and no one wants to pay that dumb $25 for a replacement ID.
5. Take a trip to HoCo at some point, or the Stillings end of semester BBQ.
Drinking on an empty stomach is dangerous. Sure it'll be faster in some ways for you to have fun, but it's not always the safest idea, especially on one of the biggest days of the school year. So hit up HoCo or Philly, but I recommend the stillings BBQ 1 pm to 6:30 pm because it's the most central area and there will be good food there. Plus, who doesn't love a BBQ?
So there are 5 tips for this year's Cinco 2017. Be safe, make good choices, and have fun! See y'all out there.
