I have always been a huge fan of reading ever since I was a kid! As I grew older, this love didn't leave me. I know many people in there 20's don't enjoy reading but for those of you that do, I have a treat for you. Here is a list of some books you can snuggle up with this fall !

1. The Goldfinch

I was scoping the bookshelves at one of my friends houses *as I always do looking for some new treasures ;)* and I came across this book with a vintage looking cover. I was immediately drawn to it. I know they say, "don't judge a book by it's cover," but I am just a sucker for artwork. I read the back and instantly fell in love. This almost 1,000 page book is so colorful, so full of detail that you feel you know each of the characters personally. It's about a boy named Theo, a thirteen-year-old New Yorker, who loses his mother in an accident that he survives. This book delves into the life of Theo Decker before, during, and after the accident. The Goldfinch by Donna Tartt is a masterpiece.

2. Milk and Honey

Rupi Kaur is a talented poet and spoken word performer from Toronto, Canada. This book of poems is separated into four chapters, each holding powerful works that will make you think, feel and love. This book is geared more toward a female audience, but I am sure it can be enjoyed by guys too ! Here is one of my favorite poems from this collection.

3. Last Dance At The Frosty Queen

This is one of my favorite books. It is another one that has the ability to truly transport you inside of the book and characters. This story is about a young boy who lives in the middle of nowhere, counting down the days until his high school graduation where he can leave his boring life behind. Of course there's some hiccups. The sheriffs daughter is obsessed with him and he falls in love with another girl. There are so many twists and turns in this book, I never wanted to put it down.

4. Who Says You Can't? You Do

This is more of a self-help book, but is one that I think everyone should read. It is filled with tips, quotes, and exercises that will get you moving and thinking in the right direction. This book is certain to help you unlock your truest potential. You can purchase it through amazon!

5. Looking For Alaska

This novel was so beautifully written. The dialogue between the characters is so crisp and colorful. There are so many memorable quotes throughout this book that will sit with you, long after you've closed it's pages. For example, "So I walked back to my room and collapsed on the bottom bunk, thinking that if people were rain, I was drizzle and she was a hurricane.” John Green did such an amazing and artistic job at crafting this novel!

So, did you see any that you might like to jump into? Check out your local library or hop over to Barnes and Nobel and stick you nose in a good read !

As Sam said from that iCarly episode forever ago, "THESE THINGS ARE GREAT! IT'S LIKE TV IN YOUR HEAD!"

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
