A small look into my heart and soul.

Okay, so I'm sure you've heard of the music app Pandora, and all the wonders that come along with it. If you have not, here is a quick overview. Pandora is a free music app that lets you create stations tailored to your favorite genre, artist or even era! Cool, right?

So with this, I decided I wanted to share a few of my favorite stations, different genres and all that jazz (No pun intended). This may have been the hardest choice I have ever had to make because I'm obsessed with music, and don't necessarily have a favorite genre. I shortened my list of 13 beautifully crafted stations to the 5 I usually listen to once or twice a week.

1. 2000's R&B Radio.

Basic millennial, I know, but this is by far one of my favorite stations to jam out to. Whether it be cleaning, doing homework, or kickback music, this station has all the music I grew up on; from What's Luv by Fat Joe to I'm N Luv by T-Pain (Great job censoring us, Mom). Listening to this station always brings back so many memories.

2. Summer Hits of the 90's Radio.

This station has so many classic artists and bands, from Red Hot Chili Peppers to Coldplay to Green Day, it's like the 90's never left. This is my go to station when I'm getting ready to go out because not only does it pump me up for the night ahead, but singing Waiting On The World To Change never seems more passionate than when I'm picking out my outfit for the night. Thank you, John Mayer.

3. 90's Alternative Radio.

Every time I come across this station, I remember screaming the lyrics to Blink-182's Adam's Song trying to impress my older cousins, and now these bands are some of my favorites. So many good bands populate this station; Third Eye Blind, Pearl Jam, Weezer, even Sublime. I know, I know, Sublime? Don't judge me. All in all this is definitely a great station.

4. 60's, 70's and 80's Hits Radio.

Yes, I know, I am old, but who can resist some Queen? Or Marvin Gaye? So many of the songs on this station are classics, and brighten my mood immediately, even when I'm Under Pressure (Get it?) This station has so much soul, you can't help but sing along to legends like Stevie Wonder and Ben E. King.

5. Today's Country Radio.

My basic white girl has finally emerged. Yes, I love country music. I think this station captures all of the best artists/bands that fall within the Pop Country genre. I am such a sucker for love, especially the cheesy kind! This station satisfies all the hopeless romantic parts of me. Sam Hunt, Brett Young, Thomas Rhett, Florida Georgia Line? Don't mind if I do!

All in all, music to me is just about how a song makes you feel. I'm crazy about music with soul, with purpose and with passion. I am always looking for new music, so please send some my way! I hope you enjoyed my quick synopsis of each station, make sure to give them a listen!

Here I am, signed, sealed, delivered, I'm yours.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
