As a self-proclaimed honorary Gilmore Girl, you can bet your bottom dollar that I was beyond stoked for the revival this past fall. While many fans found adult Rory to be annoying, I was really into her style.
My career goals are painfully similar to Rory's and I can see myself being in her shoes following graduation (#terrifying). I love her whimsical outfits and her sleek journalist style. This was one of my favorite parts of the entire series.
So, I have gathered some of my favorites!
1. The London Wrap Dress
I love this outfit. This dress is perfect. There is something universally flattering about the cut of a wrap dress. The length on this one is modest and professional, while the print and neckline are feminine and pretty.
2. The Sleeveless Floral Dress
As if the look on her face in this scene didn't scream #girlboss loud enough, her dress echoed the message loud and clear. I love the pleat down the center and the colors in the flowers. I just love it.
3. Boho Get-Up
While this particular outfit isn't exactly typical Rory, I think it's fun and kind of costume-esque. The shorts and tank are classic and cute. And by adding the tie-dye sleeveless duster and a fun printed headband, she steps outside the box and makes light of her summer wardrobe!
4. Navy Polka Dot Wrap Dress
The classic wrap dress strikes again, and I think I'm in love. This outfit is polished and classy and if I could buy it in every color I would (#broke). The print is subtle, but the cut is unique and I think that it adds a bit of fun to the look.
5. A-Line Skirt and Top
I think this outfit is one that expresses Rory's style from the original series. It is definitely something she would have worn to Friday night dinner during her Yale years, I would say. I love the all black look with the fun in the rhinestones and the shape of the skirt,
Rory Gilmore is definitely my favorite fictional character and I think the revival (while some of it annoyed me #TeamLogan), did an awesome job painting the picture of who Rory is through her wardrobe.
