Firefly Music Festival is one of the premier music festivals in the country. It rolls around every June to give people four days worth of good vibes, music, food and great memories. Firefly stands up right next to festivals such as Bonaroo and Coachella. This fest have drawn artist such as The Killers, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Tom Petty, Paul McCartney and hundreds of other artists. I attended the festival in 2015 to see Paul McCartney and the Dirty Heads and I made tons of memories while I was there. With the lineup being released recently, here are the five artists that will make you want to attend the festival this summer.
Twenty One Pilots
Twenty One Pilots has completely taken off over the past four years. They got their name out there when they released their album "Vessel", but had truly launched themselves when they released "Blurryface" in 2015. These guys always put on a show to remember. They should definitely be on your list on artists to see at this year.
Dude Ranch & the Girl at the Rock Show
Like Blink-182? Good chance you'll like this band then! You really can't go wrong with some fun Blink covers at an alternative music festival. From what I've read, they put on a fun live show just like the real band. They're on my list of bands to see this summer, they should be on yours too.
Weezer
Being around for the better part of almost 25 years, these guys are still putting out awesome music. Their music is the perfect blend of pop punk and alternative rock. Firefly is the perfect setting for them. They've performed at Firefly in past years, so if you didn't see them then now is your chance.
Thirty Seconds to Mars
Thirty Seconds to Mars is right there alongside Weezer, they're just one of those bands that you can't miss. They've been around for quite some time putting out killer music. I've heard they put on an interesting live show also!
Lil Dicky
I'm not a huge fan of rap, but I would highly suggest checking out Lil Dicky at Firefly this year. I heard that he puts on a fun show when he performs. He's definitely on top of the list of artists to check out.
Hopefully, the artists that I listed above are enough to spark your interest in buying a ticket to attend the festival this summer. This is only five bands that I think people would be most interested in seeing. There's hundreds of other artists that will be performing so there's something for everyone. I can promise that you won't regret spending four wonderful days in the Woodlands of Dover, Delaware.
