So the world is coming apart. Every day, it feels like we're on the brink of a war, a societal collapse, or a complete apocalypse. These five films might make you feel a little bit better about current events because, hey, at least they're not real!

1. Los Ultimos Dias (2013)

This Spanish film follows Marc (Quim Gutiérrez ) during a unique type of apocalypse; humanity as a whole develops agoraphobia ––a fear of open spaces–– that becomes fatal to those who venture outside. Trapped in buildings and traveling via sewers, Marc and his boss Enrique (José Coronado ) must cross the city to reunite with his girlfriend.

Watch Los Ultimos Dias if: You want something new in your apocalypse films. Or, you like Spanish architecture.

2. Train to Busan (2016)

South Korean actor Yoo Gong plays Seok-woo, a rude businessman accompanying his daughter from Seoul to Busan to see her mother when a zombie virus breaks out. Safe neither on the train nor off of it, Seok-woo and the rest of the passengers must fight to survive the ride, even as there are zombies among them.

Watch Train to Busan if: You want a zombie movie, but not the same old zombie movie.

3. Snowpiercer (2013)

More trains! After a failed climate-change experiment kills nearly all life on the planet, the surviving members of humanity board the titular Snowpiercer train that never stops. Passengers become a part of a class system that favors those on the front of the train. Low on food and water, and tired of mistreatment, Curtis (Chris Evans) leads a revolution.

Watch Snowpiercer if: You want to see Captain America beat up some rich people.

4. The Road (2009)

Based on the 2006 novel by Cormac McCarthy, The Road shows the journey of an ill man (Viggo Mortensen) and his son (Kodi Smit-McPhee) as they travel to the sea in a post-apocalyptic world.

Watch The Road if: You need a good cry.

5. Seeking a Friend for the End of the World (2012)

Now that you're thoroughly depressed by the previous movies, we end on something more lighthearted. Steve Carrell plays Dodge, a man looking for his wife after she fled their home in fear of an oncoming asteroid. Accompanying Dodge is his neighbor Penny, played by Keira Knightley.

Watch Seeking a Friend for the End of the World if: You want something a little bit more uplifting.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
