Some legendary stuff happened this week in music. If you're in need of something fresh in your playlist, set your sights (ears?) on these brand new albums:
1. Adele
1. "Hello"
2. "Send My Love"
3. "I Miss You"
4. "When We Were Young"
5. "Remedy"
6. "Water Under The Bridge"
7. "River Lea"
8. "Love in the Dark"
9. "Million Years Ago"
10. "All I Ask"
11. "Sweetest Devotion"
"25," the highly-anticipated new album from my favorite British superstar (Sorry Ed, she's the queen), hasn't actually been released yet. However, the album leaked online Tuesday afternoon just days before the release date on Friday. A London record store illegally posted two minutes of each of the 11 tracks on their sales website. Unsurprisingly, the link was swiftly removed, but the damage had already been done as millions of lucky Adele fans got to preview her new album days before its release. The album features the songs "Hello," and "When We Were Young," which have already taken the world by storm after being released on YouTube recently. Be sure to get a copy of "25" on it's intended release date, November 20!
2. A Great Big World
1. "All I Want Is Love"
2. "Kaleidoscope"
3. "End of the World"
4. "Hold Each Other ft. Futuristic"
5. "Oasis"
6. "Come On"
7. "Won't Stop Running"
8. "One Step Ahead"
9. "The Future's Right in Front of Me"
10. "When the Morning Comes"
11. "Where Does the Time Go"
12. "Hold Each Other"
From hummable, to danceable, to pensive, "When the Morning Comes," is a well-curated musical assortment. Each song shines, whether it's working in tandem with its brothers or set a part in a playlist with music from other artists. Furthermore, the album is incredibly sonically diverse, taking the band—and the listener—in multiple directions. The record is much more beat-driven then their debut, "Is There Anybody Out There?" My personal favorite from the album is entitled "Oasis," give it a listen!
3. One Direction
1. "Hey Angel"
2. "Drag Me Down"
3. "Perfect "
4. "Infinity"
5. "End of the Day"
6. "If I Could Fly"
7. "Long Way Down"
8. "Never Enough"
9. "Olivia"
10. "What a Feeling"
11. "Love You, Goodbye"
12. "I Want To Write You A Song"
13. "History"
14. "Temporary Fix"
15. "Walking In The Wind"
16. "Wolves"
17. "A.M."
One Direction is still kicking after their dramatic split from Zayn Malik. Personally I have never been the biggest 1D fan, but I think we can admit we've all been listening to "Drag Me Down" on repeat for months already. And the song "Perfect" literally is perfect. This is definitely an album that everyone will be jamming to for a long time.
4. Kurt Cobain
1. "The Yodel Song"
2. "Been A Son"
3. "What More Can I Say"
4. "1998 Capitol Lake Jam Commercial"
5. "The Happy Guitar"
6. "Montage Of Kurt"
7. "Beans"
8. "Burn The Rain"
9. "Clean Up Before She Comes"
10. "Reverb Experiment"
11. "Montage Of Kurt II"
12. "Rehash"
13. "You Can't Change Me"
14. "Scoff"
15. "Aberdeen"
16. "Bright Smile"
17. "Underground Celebritism"
18. "Retreat"
19. "Desire"
20. "And I Love Her"
21. "Sea Monkeys"
22. "Sappy"
23. "Letters To Frances"
24. "Screan"
25. "Frances Farmer Will Have Her Revenge On Seattle"
26. "Kurt Ambiance"
27. "She Only Lies"
28. "Kurt Audio Collage"
29. "Poison's Gone"
30. "Rhesus Monkey"
31. "Do Re Mi"
He's still strumming from the grave! Just kidding, but he might as well be. Cobain's album "Montage of Heck: The Home Recordings," was released posthumously, as a soundtrack to the film "Kurt Cobain: Montage of Heck," a film depicting the life and legacy that was Kurt Cobain. Rolling Stone Magazine gave the album a four-star review. Others say the album is a direct path to understanding the creative process of the late musical icon, a gold mine for die-hard Nirvana fans.
5. Justin Bieber
1. "Mark My Words"
2. "I'll Show You"
3. "What Do You Mean? ft. Diplo"
4. "Sorry"
5. "Love Yourself ft. Ed Sheeran"
6. "Company"
7. "No Pressure ft. Big Sean"
8. "No Sense ft. Travi$ Scott"
9. "The Feeling ft. Halsey"
10. "Life Is Worth Living"
11. "Where Are Ü Now"
12. "Children"
13. "Purpose"
What I love about "Purpose" is that Justin really put his heart into this one. I love the message behind every song. There is a lot of emphasis on revitalization, love, and forgiveness. Not only forgiving others, but also forgiving yourself. Through this album, I think JB has shown the world that he has learned from his poor choices, forgiven himself, and moved on to live a more purposeful life. Way to go Biebs, this album is on fire. I'm a proud Belieber!
