For some, going to the gym is just part of the daily routine and is something to look forward to. For others, going to the gym takes great motivation and is looked at more negatively. At State, gym culture is very popular, and I am sure we have all made our way to the ARC or ARC Express at least once while attending SDSU. Here are some things we have probably all thought while getting fit.
1. Wow, I actually made it. I'm here. I can do anything -- probably.
2. Where should I start? Where are there no people?
3. Oh, no, I came at the most crowded time. Ugh.
4. Is that guy staring at me? I can't tell, what a creep.
5. Okay, seriously, stop looking at me.
6. Alright, then, just gonna have to avoid this guy.
7. I guess I should probably stretch first, wouldn't wanna be that person who gets injured at the gym.
8. Oh, look, barely any room on the mats.
9. Stretching might be the best part of my gym routine, honestly.
10. Maybe I'll do some ab work, too, since I'm here on the mat.
11. My six pack will be here in no time.
12. Now, time for some cardio.
13. Of course, all the treadmills are taken.
14. Cycling will do.
15. Oh, come one. Who didn't wipe off the handlebars??
16. Is gym etiquette not a thing anymore?
17. Because I know so much about the gym, haha, yea, right.
18. I'm so healthy. Ten minutes will do.
19. A treadmill is empty, butI already did cardio.
20. I don't want to over do it.
21. I read an article that sometimes too much cardio is bad, I think? Maybe? I don't actually remember, but whatever.
22. Now that I've done legs, time for arms.
23. Gotta keep it all evened out I guess, right?
24. Now, which weights are perfect for me?
25. Oh, gross, again? Who was using this set before me?
26. Everyone knows, wipe your sweat off, please!!
27. Is this girl really using weights that look twice her size, what the -- you go, girl.
28. Already feeling the burn, this is great. I am going to look so great for tonight.
29. Just one more set. I think this is about as far as I'm gonna go.
30. Yup, I'm done.
31. I wanna look in the mirror but I also don't wanna look like a tool.
32. Who am I kidding, I only came here to go to the sauna after my workout. I'm sure I'm not the only one.
33. Sauna is great. I should come here more often.
34. I look so gross, tired, and sweaty. But everyone else does, so it's cool.
35. Yes, finally, my workout is over. Now I don't have to come back to the gym for at least a month.
36. Maybe I'll reward myself with some ice cream.
37. Nope, never mind. Just remember, all this hard work will pay off and keep me in shape!
38. I should workout every day!
39. Okay, maybe let's not get ahead of yourself.
40. Either way, I feel good and very accomplished.
