4 Things All Theatre Kids Can Relate To

So we all know someone that is OBSESSED with musicals or plays or just anything related to theatre. Or you just know that person is you. So share this article with your theatre friends or just read it for yourself. Without a doubt you can relate to all of these. I can relate to most of these, not because I wrote this article, but because I consider myself a theatre kid as well. I have been in numerous shows since I was in fourth grade. I went from just doing school shows, to doing shows in my local community. Hopefully, I make it to Broadway. Even though my dreams are a little far-fetched, I’m putting my foot in the right direction and using my academics to my advantage. I’m moving my education forward by going to college and studying as a musical theatre major. Theatre has been such a huge part of my life and I don’t think that I’d ever give it up; it holds a special place in my heart. I've met so many talented people in all my years of theatre and they have become some of my closest friends. Show after show every cast becomes like a family, and it kills me all the time when its time to finally say goodbye. So here are just some of the things theatre kids can always relate to:

1. Always quoting something from a show:

It could be something from "Hamilton," "Spring Awakening," "Wicked," "Something Rotten," (etc.) the list could go on for DAYS. You might just walk into a 7-Eleven one day and just break out into a song from "Heathers" or walk past Sardi's in NYC and start to feel a "Producers" quote coming on. There are endless possibilities as to what you can quote.

2. You can't stop dancing because the dance you learned was so much fun to do:

You practiced for weeks and weeks to perfect the dance and once the show is over you just keep doing the dance, in your living room, kitchen, bedroom, backyard, and so many other places.

3. Reminisce about shows you were involved with in the past:

You cant honestly say that you haven't done it. ALL theatre kids are at fault when it comes to past shows. You'll listen to a song from that show for days because of your "post-show Depression."

4. Can't wait for the cast party!

It's finally time to kick back and relax with your pals from the cast. Granted some casts might get a little bit out of hand at their parties, they still have a good time. It may be the last time to all hang out as a cast but you will always have those memories with you for the rest of your life.

Thanks for reading! Please share this article with friends! i would greatly appreciate it!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
