You're in for a wild ride with this one. She can be the feistiest and most sassy yet most caring human being in the world. You may not understand her at first but if you stick around long enough to find out, I promise it will be worth it. She has a lot of layers and it will take time to peel them back but don't give up on her when the going gets tough because you won't get to witness the amazing women she really is.

1. Her mouth

She doesn't have a filter and she just says whatever comes to her mind. Sometimes she cusses like a sailor and other days she doesn't say anything at all. If there is a problem you will know about it and once again she doesn't have a filter so you might not like what she has to say. This is most important to note because others might take her as being mean, rude, or bitchy, but in her mind she's just being real. Most of the time, she doesn't mean anything hurtful by what she says even though others may perceive that way.

2. Her heart

She has the biggest heart of all. She is caring and considerate and sometimes cries over the dumbest things. Her love for other people, and animals, and the world, is something to be admired. She will give you the shirt off her back if need be. Her love for animals is like none other, whether it be your standard cat or dog, or something crazy like turtles, squirrels, or pigs. She loves them all and believes they should all be treated well. It breaks her heart to see animals mistreated and abused, as well as humans being mistreated and abused by other humans. But on the same side of that if you mistreat her and act like you don't have any respect for her, then she will not have any respect for you either. If you hurt her, it takes a while to gain that trust back. If you break her heart, you have to work to get it back. My favorite saying is actions speak louder than words and that is really all there is to it.

3. Her attitude

She treats people the way she wants to be treated and what better way to do that than by being real. She is most definitely a realist. She doesn't feel the need to lie to you or to sugarcoat what she wants to say. That is just the way she was raised. If she doesn't like something she will speak out, she will try and change it, she wasn't raised to just sit back and take it. She is going to get straight to the point and tell you how it is, good or bad. If you don't like it that is on you but I promise you're going to be thankful for it in the long run. She isn't going to sacrifice who she is, just to please your feelings.

4. Her will to succeed

She wants more than anything to succeed. She wants to make you proud to know someone like her and she won't take no for an answer. She wants to be the best she can be and sometimes pushes herself a little too far. She stays up late planning her future, thinking about what will happen after she graduates and everything in between. To disappoint anyone breaks her heart and she is going to do whatever it takes to show you that she can do it. She might get overwhelmed more than she should and over-analyze everything but she has the will, and she will find a way to make all her dreams come true.

If you are like me, then these four things should describe you to a T. I love animals, I don't always have the cleanest mouth and all I want in life is to make something of myself. I am sassy and independent, but no one will ever be able to say I don't have a big heart. Treat me right and I will treat you right, treat me wrong and well I lose respect for you. I might piss a lot of people off by things I say and things that I stand up for but at least I am standing up for what I believe in. When its all said and done I want to have made an impact in this world and if it's only on 1 person so be it. All I can do is try and hope my voice is heard.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
