It was weird packing up my entire dorm room into boxes and bags as I said goodbye to Ball State for the summer. As I headed towards my home, I couldn't help but think what I was going to miss about Ball State, which made me sad. So, I started focusing on why I'm excited about this summer.
1. My Pets
I'm beyond happy that I will be seeing my cats, dogs, and pig every day for the next three months. I've missed them so much while being in school, so I'm glad I'll have some time just to spend on them. I even plan on taking one of my cats on walks to spend more time with her.
2. My Summer Job
I have a summer job already lined up, and I'm ready to start working for the summer. I will be spending most of my days working at an animal kennel taking care of people's beloved pets. I don't know what could be better than getting paid to take care of dogs and cats all day.
3. My Car
I was unable to take my car with me to this school this past year, so being able to drive again is going to be fun. I've already offered to drive around places for family just because I like using my car whenever I can. I didn't realize how much I'd actually miss driving while in school.
4. Old Friends
I've already started to make plans to meet up with some of my high school friends. I can't wait to catch up on all their college adventures and see what they've been up to the school year. It'll be nice hanging out with old friends and creating new memories with them before heading back to Ball State in August.
