4 Lessons We Can All Learn From The Life Of Cardi B
Cardi B

Cardi B is the phenomenon that took the world by storm. Rising from the ashes of Love and Hip Hop New York to an international superstar practically overnight. Whether you love her or hate Cardi B is everywhere. The rambunctious Libra exudes the confidence that many of us wish we could have everyday. From memes to Instagram Captions there’s so much that Cardi B has given the us fans and critics alike.

Here are the lessons we can all learn from Cardi B

1. Never apologize for who you are.

From her humble beginnings and the lessons she learned before fame. Cardi B has never shied away from her roots and everything in-between. Often citing her circumstances for her ability to make the music she does and her motivation to succeed, she exemplifies that no matter where you come from, be proud. If you had not gone through the different situations that made you a stronger human being you wouldn’t be here to talk about it today.

2. Live life regardless of the haters.

Let’s face it there will always people who don’t support you and there will be those who will criticize just because they can. But you know what’s most important? Being able recognize that they don’t matter! Live each day for you and only you! Don’t let other determine how you should live your life and don’t change just to make other more comfortable. Remember “A hater is just an undercover fan”

3. You define what success means to you.

With a very distinct sound that can’t be replicated Cardi B has paved a path that only she can. It’s moves like that this that teaches both men and women all over the world that you have to define what success means to you. Stating that music was always a passion, she never gave up on her dreams. She continued to push through and today creates music that she stands by and support. You’re in charge of your own destiny and the only person who can get in your way is you.

4. The 90's was LIT!

A special shoutout to my 90s babies out there. From the fashion to the music. Everything about the 90s was amazing. Though some of us too young to fully remember everything about the time. The memories we have from Fresh Prince and Full House to Whitney Houston’s “I Will Always Love You” and Backstreet Boys “I Want It That Way”. There’s so many nostalgic memories associated with this era. Thanks Cardi for reminding us!

What can I say. With her career just taking off, we can only expect to learn so much more from Cardi B. Maybe it's her infectious attitude or her Bronx accent but it's something about her that you just can't run from. Whether you're a Cardi fan or not, we can all learn something from the dynamic woman.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
