This past school year I was I was given the opportunity to live with 70+ of my sorority sisters. As sophomore year comes to an end, I sit here reflecting on what its been like to live in this crazy house. If you have experienced living in your sorority house, or plan on doing so in the future, it is more than likely you will share some of the same thoughts I have had. Here is an inside look on some of the things that have ran through my head while living in..

1. Who’s parked in my spot? You know its not your spot so why would you park there? WHY?!

2. I wonder what’s on the menu for this week?

3. I see chicken is on there 5 times, lovely.

4. Why are they serving us this? Is this even editable? Oh well, I’ll sign up for a late plate just in case I get desperate.

5. Pizza for the weekend… again… seriously…?

6. WHY WON'T THE WIFI WORK? This house is a prison.

7. The washer/dryers are done come get your clothes, my laundry is more important than yours.

8. I wonder if anyone has ____ I can I borrow...?

9. Has anyone seen my ____ …? I bet someone stole it.

10. Who set off the alarm?

11. Can you all keep it down? Its quiet hours!

12. There really is no such thing as quiet hours in this house, is there?

13. Seriously who is screaming?

14. She is ALWAYS studying… maybe I should start studying more.

15. I guess knocking is no longer necessary when entering someone else’s room.

16. UGH, who took my charger? I left it right there.

17. Where did all the snacks go… its not even halfway through the week.

18. I guess I’ll sign up for formal meal so I can eat dinner tonight. I’ll just throw on a t-shirt dress over my sports bra.

19. Why is the bathroom such a long walk from my room...? Whatever, I’ll hold it.

20. Great, there is a man on 2, which means I have to put pants and a bra on. Life is unfair.

21. I wonder if my package is here. I’ll just check the mail room every 30 minutes.

22. How are girls this gross? Did your mothers not teach you to clean up after yourself?

23. Our house mom and housekeeper came straight from Heaven, I’m sure of it.

24. I don’t have my key fob; I hope someone can let me in.

25. Seriously, everyone get off the wifi so I can get my Netflix to work.

26. Looks like she had a good night last night...

27. This trash can is way too full... *carefully places trash on top instead of taking the trash out*

28. I wonder who’s in the stall next to me, maybe I can figure out by their toenail polish.

29. How dare someone take MY shower. Everyone knows that’s the one I always shower in.

30. Am I lazy if I don’t go to chapter considering all I have to do is walk downstairs...?

31. I wonder who I can convince to drive me to class.

32. I’m so ready to move out of this house… but at the same time I’m not because I know that I’ll secretly miss it.

One of the greatest decisions I have made in college so far was to live in my sorority house. Not many people get to say they have experienced living in a sorority house, so I will never take the opportunity I was given for granted. Living-in has helped me build friendships with girls I would have never expected to become close with and it has given me a lifetime of memories I will never forget. If you get the chance to live in your sorority house, take it. I promise you will not regret it.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
