Finals. It's almost a dirty word on a college campus, like talking about "he who must not be named" in Hogwarts. It's a love-hate relationship (OK, pretty much all hate) because it means that summer is right around the corner, but first, you have to suffer through the tortures of all-night cram sessions, coffee overdoses, and little-to-no food. During this long, stressful journey, college students all have the same thoughts bouncing around in their heads.

1. Why?

2. Why did I take this class?

3. Why did I pick this major?

4. The professor literally never said ANYTHING about this in class.

5. When will I ever need to know what an ice core sample is used for?

6. Why do we take all of the finals in one week?

7. How long do I need for a nap to really count?

8. I don't care, just want to sleep.

9. OK, I have to get out of my room or I will sleep through my exams.

10. The library is always a good place to study, right?

11. To get an A in the class, I need a 190 on the final.

12. Well, I think I can get at least a B on it.

13. But as long as I get a C, I’ll pass the class.

14. Why does the professor grade out of a thousand?

15. When do I eat?

16. What do I eat?

17. I'm too tired to eat.

18. Can I learn all of this information in just one day?

19. Why didn't I take any notes in class?

20. Why didn't I go to class?

21. Wait. I just read that sentence 11 times in a row.

22. And I have no idea what it said.

23. I just want to watch a Netflix.

24. If I start watching right now, I’ll still have enough time to finish studying by 2 a.m.

25. NO. Focus. You got this.

26. Ok, one episode.

27. Ok, eight episodes...

28. Should I pull an all-nighter?

29. Only one more week of this, then it's home free.

30. I still have to pack up all my stuff.

31. But then, summer classes.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
