Sometimes I think I was born in the wrong generation, mainly because I have a strong appreciation for the timeless music of the 1960s, 70s, and 80s. I think my love for old music first started when I was a young girl and my dad would play all of his favorite songs for me. He’d hold me on his hip and we’d dance around the house, spinning and twirling around to songs I would later rediscover and grow to love. From the start, I would find myself drawn to my grandpa's eclectic record collection; captivated by the vibrant album covers. He had everything from The Rolling Stones to the soundtrack from Grease. Perhaps I am so drawn to old music because it reflects specific moments in history that have been preserved through art. And as time passes, its beauty remains.
In effort to share my love for old music, I have created a playlist of my favorite songs from the 1960s, 70s, and 80s that never fails to disappoint.
