Hello stressed students!

I know you're stressed because I am for SURE stressed too. It's been a long school year, but summer is slowly arriving. It's almost time for the beach. It's almost time for shorts and tank tops. It's almost time to forget about school work (for most of us) and finally get the relaxation we deserve.

But, these last few weeks are crucial. here are three reminders for everyone who is going through it.

1. Stay Charged.

I know the anticipation of summer is killing you, and trust me, me too, but we can't let that get to us. Although summer is close, finals are even closer, and that is what we have to focus on right now. Study hard. Grind. Make those note cards. Your trips and summer vacation will come soon enough, just take this time to remember what's important for right now.

2. Go To Class.

Towards the last few weeks of school, we start to get lazy. We start to show up less and less to classes, but we are all paying for these classes. Although sometimes it doesn't seem like it's worth going, you should go to at least see what you may learn that class. For me, I am one who wakes up in the morning and checks the syllabus to see if I NEED to go to class, so this one is hard for me. But, I realized I probably shouldn't do that. So me reminding you is reminding me.

3. Take Care of Yourself.

In the midst of finals and speeches and exams, we sometimes forget to take care of ourselves. As much as school is important, so is your mental health and well-being. Drink lots of water. Sleep as much as you can. I get it, we got to spend some long nights studying, but don't forget to make the effort to take care of yourself too. Hangout with friends. Go to the gym. Enjoy life outside of school too. We all need a break.

I wish everyone good luck on their upcoming presentations, exams, and finals. Go kill it!!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
