1. "My name is Jordan Belfort. I'm a former member of the middle class raised by two accountants in a tiny apartment in Bayside, Queens. The year I turned 26, as the head of my own brokerage firm, I made $49 million, which really pissed me off because it was three shy of a million a week."
Be a wolf. On Wall Street, and in life for that matter, the hungriest people are going to be the most successful. Sure, it is easy to be satisfied making 49 million dollars in a year (I know I would be) but the most successful people are often the ones who are always yearning for more.
2. "The only thing standing between you and your goal is the bullshit story you keep telling yourself as to why you can't achieve it."
It really isn't that difficult to make excuses. We do it all the time. With that being said, to accomplish goals one has to drop the excuses and develop a driven mentality. Once that mentality becomes more important than sleep, partying, or even money, success becomes inevitable.

3. “No matter what happened to you in your past, you are not your past, you are the resources and the capabilities you glean from it. And that is the basis for all change.”
Okay, so this quote isn't actually from the movie. Jordan Belfort, the real life "Wolf on Wall Street" and now motivational speaker, gives this piece of advice to those who want to learn from one of the most ambitious men in recent history. Belfort filed for bankruptcy at 25 years old after his career as a door-to-door meat salesmen came to an end. Just months later found himself making tens of thousands of a dollars a day managing Stratton Oakmont Inc. He didn't dwell on his past failures, but instead used what he learned as a charismatic salesmen to shape his future success on Wall Street.
