Procrastination is that one thing we all try to deny, but experience anyway. Whether it be stemmed from school work or an actual job, we've all experienced procrastination in one form or another. Sometimes I'm able to work around it and find methods to ensure I get the task at hand accomplished, and other days I just cave in and allow it to take over. These are some of the things that fuel my procrastination:
1. Take Buzzfeed quizzes.
2. Browse Pinterest.
3. Take a drive.
4. Double, triple, and quadruple check my planner and syllabuses.
5. Look through my fridge/pantry...multiple times.
6. Experiment with movies or documentaries on Netflix.
7. Look into what my classmates from high school are up to, aka social media hunt.
8. Go to Walmart.
9. Decide to make an extravagant dinner or dessert.
10. Bake.
11. Clean my apartment.
12. Clean the kitchen, even though I've already done it several times.
13. Search for new Youtubers to obsess over.
14. Search for resources as a SPED teacher/elementary teacher.
15. Watch funny animal videos.
16. Move to my favorite coffee shop assuming I'll get work done there.
17. Go through Romwe and find all the sweatshirts I wanna buy.
18. Go to Ulta's website and browse through the sale items even though I know, and everyone else knows, I don't need to buy any more makeup.
19. Do a different reading/assignment instead of the one I should be doing.
20. Ask a friend to come over to motivate me.
21. End up watching an entire season of Galavant with said friend.
22. Call my mom.
23. Call her again when I remember something I forgot to tell her the first or second or third time.
24. Lie in bed and pretend I'm going to take a nap.
25. Accidentally fall asleep for an hour...or four.
26. Watch a movie that I know will give me a good cry (because who doesn't like a good cry).
27. Make an extravagantly obnoxious study guide for an upcoming exam.
28. Look into plane ticket prices to Lexington, Kentucky (because I wanna visit my best friend).
How do you procrastinate?
