Oh the joy of being a college student and checking your account balance to only have $1.74.

If you're anything like me, when you hear the word "food" and "off campus" put in the same sentence you are all in, but if we're being honest here, we both know we can't afford it. However, here are some things you totally can afford!

1. Work on your to-do list

2. Paint

3. Read the assigned readings for your classes (because who reads those)

4. Go to a local beach

5. Netflix and Hulu (use your friends account if you don't have one)

6. Go for a drive with no destination

7. Go on a hike

8. Dance like no one is watching

9. Bake cookies

10. Exercise (ugh)

11. Create a bucket list

12. Do something on your bucket list (if it's free)

13. Hang out with an old friend

14. Listen to new music

15. Try a DIY project you found on YouTube that totally isn't doable, but hey, it doesn't hurt to try

16. Make a playlist or two

17. Deep clean your room (that Ramen cup sitting beside your bed for the last month is dying to be thrown out)

18. Draw your dream house

19. Delete Tinder (trust me it's for the better)

20. Cook a home cooked meal with your loved one

21. Catch up on that laundry you've been putting off for the last two weeks (the same sweatshirt you've been wearing for a week will thank you)

22. Write a letter to your future self

23. Sing on the top of your lungs

24. Clip coupons (if you're going to spend money, at least be smart about it)

25. Write an article/ blog post on more things to instead of spending money

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
