The 25 Days Of Christmas For College Students

Not to be confused with Freeform's 25 Day's of Christmas, unfortunately.

College students would much rather enjoy Freeform's 25 Days of Christmas or even Hallmark Channel Original Movies, filled with holiday cheer and Christmas spirit. Instead, we have to endure those few weeks between Thanksgiving and Christmas which holds our most dreaded week of the year: finals.

Among the stress of finals and the end of the semester, we also have to worry about Christmas shopping and trying not to break the bank, however difficult that may be. In the end, we're all home celebrating the holidays, that is until the second semester rolls around.

December 1

Wow, this semester has gone by fast, it's already December!

December 2

It's only December 2, are you sure? You could've sworn finals were over by now.

December 3

The 25 Days of Christmas has already started and you haven't hit up Freeform or the Hallmark Channel yet, that's definitely a problem.

December 4

Oh no, you got so swept up in Christmas movies you forgot finals start NEXT WEEK.

December 5

Who are you kidding, you have a whole week to "study." *proceeds to watch Christmas movies/Netflix*

December 6

Okay, you suppose it's time that you be productive, less than a week until finals and all. Maybe you'll do some homework here and there, maybe.

December 7

The mentality for the day: In a week you'll be home for over a month and won't have to worry about schoolwork. You can do it.

December 8

It's the Friday before finals. You definitely cannot do this.

December 9

Cheers to the weekend! You'll make sure to manage your time wisely and be prepared for that 8 AM final Monday morning.

December 10

Are you sure it's Sunday? All you've done this weekend is sleep and avoid all responsibility.

December 11

Monday at 8 AM sure did come fast. Totally winging this exam, you just don't care anymore, but that GPA is a little scary.

December 12

Day 2 of torture. Can't be any worse than Day 1...

December 13

Oh, but it was. Is this week over? Can you go home to see your pets yet?

December 14

DONE. YOU'RE FREE. GOODBYE COLLEGE. HOME WHERE YA AT??

December 15

You're so happy to be home. You can decorate, bake cookies, go shopping, hang out with friends, etc. (P.S. - Happy Birthday Mom!)

December 16

Ends up working all the time and would give anything to go back to taking naps in the middle of the day after class.

December 17

Oh gosh, is this what working a full-time job is like? *only works 4 hours every few days*

December 18

1 week till Christmas!

December 19

And you still haven't bought all your gifts, and you're broke. Someone help!

December 20

*Frantically checks for Amazon packages that were ordered 5 minutes ago* Why aren't they here? You have Prime, after all.

December 21

Checking my bank account and it's not pretty.

December 22

So close, you can almost hear those sleigh bells jingle-ing, ring ting tingle-ing too.....

December 23

*Finally has a day off work after working only one day.*

Now you can make cookies, finish wrapping gifts, sing along to some holiday music, and finish those Christmas movies you started watching when you should've been studying.

December 24

*Blasts Mariah Carey's "All I Want For Christmas Is You" on repeat because Christmas is TOMORROW and nobody can kill this vibe*

December 25

Merry Christmas, second semester starts in less than a month! – Love, Santa

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
