24 Problems Music Lovers Have As Told By the Office

If you're a music lover, you probably have music running through your veins, constantly thinking about a song, humming a song, or listening to a song. You also probably have a playlist for every occasion and roll your eyes every time someone who is playing a top 40 playlist is complimented on it. While everyone's singing along to the new song that's number one, you sit silently because you'd rather take the aux but you already know everyone would stare at you while they sit in silence. You basically can never win with the public.

1. When someone asks what your favorite song is

2. When you talk about one of your favorite artists, and someone says that they love them too but can only name songs played on the radio

3. You barely know any Top 40's because you're too busy playing your own music

4. You realize how terrible Top 40 really is

5. When the radio plays a song off of the album you've known about for months (and overplays it)

6. When one of the artists you listen to has a stereotype and that's all people know about them.

7. When your fave hasn't put out an album in so long but it's probably only been a year or two

8. You just have to sing along to your tunes, even if you're in a public place

9. When someone says they don't like music

10. When someone only listens to Top 40 and nothing else

11. Having too many playlists

12. Having a wedding song playlist, even if you don't have a significant other (so you have to chill a little)

13. Constantly having more than 2 songs stuck in your head at a time

14. Having to listen to the song stuck in your head because that somehow helps

15. Wanting to go all of your faves' concerts but you're too broke

16. When someone tries to talk to you with your headphones in

17. When someone is in your car and you don't want to scare them with your music taste so you force yourself to turn on the radio

18. When someone is in your car and tries to take control of the music.

19. When you want to show someone something cool about the making of a song but they don't appreciate it as much as you do.

20. Showing someone a song and they don't like it

21. That irreplaceable feeling you get when you're at a concert

22. When a song you don't like on the album sounds so good live

23. When the concert ends and you can already feel the Post Concert Depression in your heart and the tears streaming down your face.

24. You can't explain to anyone the feeling you get when you listen to music but when you find someone who gets it, it's so great

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
