"One Tree Hill" is, without a doubt, one of my favorite television shows of all time, and Nathan Scott is definitely my favorite character. Therefore, I have created a list of my favorite "One Tree Hill" quotes, specifically, 23, since 23 is Nathan Scott's jersey number.

1. Whitey Durham

"There's no shame in being afraid. Hell, we're all afraid. What you gotta do is figure out what you're afraid of because when you can put a face on it, you can beat it. Better yet, you can use it."

2. Peyton Sawyer

"At this moment, there are 6,470,818,671 people in the world. Some run scared, some are coming home, some tell lies to get through the day, others are just facing the truth, some are evil men at war with good, and some are good struggling with evil. Six billion people in the world, six billion souls, and sometimes all you need is one."

3. Lucas Scott

"Sometimes it's easy to feel like you're the only one in the world who's struggling, who's frustrated, or unsatisfied at barely getting by. But, that feeling is a lie and if you just hold on; just find the courage to face it all for another day, someone or something will find the way and make it all okay. Because we all need a little help sometimes, someone to help us hear the music in the world. To remind us that it won't always be this way. That someone is out there, and that someone will find you."

4. Quentin Fields

"You owe it to them to be the very best version of yourself, the version where you fight for what you want. The version where you're not afraid to be great. You're better for them when you're living your dreams, man. And there is nothing selfish about that."

5. Marvin "Mouth" McFadden

"It's not my intention that one day this scholarship fund will erase the past. But it is my intention that one day it might eclipse it and remind a new generation of sports fans that what you do matters. And how you do it matters."

6. Julian Baker

"I feel like people get lost when they think of happiness as a destination, we're always thinking that someday we'll be happy. That we'll get that car, or that job, or that person in our lives that will fix everything. But happiness is a mood, and it's a condition, not a destination. It's like being tired or hungry, it's not permanent. It comes and goes, but that's okay. I feel like if people thought of it that way, they'd find happiness more often."

7. Brooke Davis

"Do you know what my mother said to me when I told her I wanted to start a company? She said your chances are one in a million. And I said maybe I'm that one, and she said you're not. And she was wrong. Because I am one in a million."

8. Dan Scott

"We all want to be loved. To be happy. So why aren't we? Because we've become experts at sabotaging our own happiness. Feeling like victims, when in fact it's the choices we make, the bad habits, the vices, the inability to show love and compassion. These are the things that tear us down. We're not victims. We're assassins when it comes to love and happiness."

9. Keith Scott

"I'm not gonna leave you here son. I'm not gonna do that and I'll tell you why. Cause I've been there. I've bought the gun, and I planned on using it, okay? I've been there. And I wanna tell you something, it gets better."

10. Karen Roe

"Faith is believing when there is nothing else you can do."

11. Haley James Scott

"You can choose to blame your circumstances on fate or bad luck or bad choices. Or you can fight back. Things aren't always going to be fair in the real world. That's just the way it is. But for the most part, you get what you give. The rest of your life is being shaped right now. With the dreams you chase, the choices you make, and the person you decide to be. The rest of your life is a long time. And the rest of your life starts right now."

12. James "Jamie" Lucas Scott

"Some people look a little different. Some people are a little different. I think that's cool."

13. Quinn James

"It doesn't matter how you plan it. It doesn't matter how you envision it. Without even knowing it, sometimes life has a way of finding you exactly what you need. Or exactly who you need."

14. Clay Evans

"Promise me that you'll take the time to feel lucky, and happy, and fortunate. Don't waste days with what could've beens and what should've beens."

15. Antwon "Skills" Taylor

"It's okay to feel angry. It's okay to feel the pain. It's even okay to hate the person that did this, but when that anger and that pain and that hate becomes too much for you, you come see me, Nate or Luke. Understand? We are your family, and we gonna get through this together."

16. Chris Keller

"Chris Keller missed you."

17. Jimmy Edwards

"You really think I am the only one. Then you ask yourself this: have you ever treated someone like crap in this school or left anyone out? Have you ever broken up with someone in the time it takes to pass a note and disappear? Or talk trash behind their back? Or maybe you just ignored it all? You know why you worry about the big game or the prom or the bake sale for the pep club. You ask yourself that and then you tell me if there is anyone else out there."

18. Deb Scott

"Life sucks, I need a drink."

19. Millicent "Millie" Huxtable

"There's greatness in all of us, someday the underdog will rise up and take over."

20. Alex Dupre

"I will be by your side, if ever you fall deep in the dead of night, whenever you call. And I won't change my mind, no I'll see you through, and I won't give up, no I won't give up, I won't give up on you."

21. Jake Jagielski

"Luke, the guys on the team, they're in a tough spot. Because of the suspension, most of these guys are younger, and they're not going to stand up to Nathan. It's not right, but that's the way it is... This could really get messy if someone doesn't take the high road. And I know this is not my place to ask, but I was just hoping that you could rise above it."

22. Samantha Walker

"Quentin Fields was a basketball player. He was also a son. A brother. Somebody's teammate. Somebody's friend. I never knew Quentin Fields, and I guess now I never will. Did you ever wonder what it would be like if you weren't you anymore? If you were suddenly gone, how would your world react? Whatever you imagined, it was wrong. There's nothing romantic about death. Grief is like the ocean: it's deep and dark and bigger than all of us. And pain is like a thief in the night. Quiet. Persistent. Unfair. Diminished by time and faith and love. I didn't know Quentin Fields, but I'm jealous of him because I see how his absence has affected the people that did know him, so I know that he did matter to them. And I know he was loved. People say Quentin Fields was a great basketball player. Graceful. Fluid. Inspiring. They say on a good night, it almost seemed as though he could fly, And now, he can."

23. Nathan Scott

"It's the oldest story in the world. One day, you're seventeen and planning for someday. And then quietly, and without you ever really noticing, someday is today. And then someday is yesterday. And this is your life."

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
