The Met Gala is widely considered to be the most prestigious fashion event of the year. The annual Gala not only showcases some of the most creative fashion, but it benefits the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City through fundraising, as well.

One of, if not the, most exciting part of the Met Gala is the theme. This year, the theme followed an interesting and religious path: “Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination." Most of the celebrities who attended the Gala brought so much imagination and invention to this theme, while others sadly flopped. So, without further ado, here are some of the best looks from the 2018 Met Gala (in no particular order).

1. Rihanna

Rihanna is basically ruling the world as we know it, at this point, so it's no surprise that she dressed like the Pope.

2. Zendaya

I'm obsessed with Zendaya and I'm obsessed with everything about this look. It's androgynous and mysterious and she channeled it so well.

3. Sarah Jessica Parker

Say what you want about Sarah Jessica Parker, but she has yet to be dethroned as queen of the Met Gala. She continues to be inventive and creative in terms of the theme, and the results are always mystifying. This look is no different.

4. Solange

Solange never fails to look like an absolute goddess. The headpiece is an interesting contrast from the dark, slick look underneath and makes her stand out in a beautiful way.

5. Frances McDormand

This look screams Frances McDormand to me. It's eccentric and colorful, yet incredibly classy.

6. Cardi B

Cardi B (thankfully) took a detour from her fiance's Met Gala look and it certainly paid off. She looks stunning and her look fits the theme so well.

7. Jennifer Lopez

I'm surprised how much I love this look. At first glance, I thought this was incredibly tacky, but the primary colors, fur, and meticulous details bring this look together.

8. Nicki Minaj

Nicki Minaj looks like she's about to lure a man in and steal his soul in this look and I am absolutely obsessed with it.

9. SZA

SZA is my queen of the year so I'm not surprised at all by how stunning she looks. The color looks incredible on her and she looks like an ethereal fairy princess.

10. Blake Lively

I can never get enough of Blake Lively. She's beautiful and I feel like she has no flaws. This look makes her look like the queen that she is.

11. Mindy Kaling

At first glance, this look is a little understated. However, it's simplicity is its strength and Mindy Kaling looks so classy.

12. Lena Waithe

This is probably the most over-the-top look I've seen from the 2018 Met Gala. It's borderline tacky but Lena Waithe makes it work and she looks stunning as always.

13. Ariana Grande

I, like many, am still trying to figure out what is on Ariana Grande's head. However, she still looked stunning so I'll let it slide.

14. Letitia Wright

Letitia Wright is an icon and has absolutely ruled 2018. This look is so sophisticated and makes her so youthful yet so mature.

15. Michael B. Jordan

Yes, this look is simple and yes, Michael B. Jordan definitely took the easy route by wearing a suit. However, I love the small details that make this look unique.

16. Chadwick Boseman

Chadwick Boseman's look is up there with my top favorites from the night. This outfit is simple and eye-catching and the same time and has so many intricate details.

17. Priyanka Chopra

Priyanka Chopra could wear a paper bag and still look gorgeous. However, I'm obsessed with this dress and the contrast between the headpiece and the gown.

18. Mary-Kate & Ashley Olsen

R.I.P. to the Olsen twins for another year.

19. Emilia Clarke

Mother of Dragons more like MUTHA! This gown is so intricate and beautiful and I'm obsessed with it.

20. Jared Leto

While Jared Leto spends every day channeling a heavenly body, this look is unique and colorful, yet classy, much like Leto himself.

21. Kate Upton

When I first saw this, I scrolled right past it. After a closer look, however, it's stunning despite its minimalism.

22. Anne Hathaway

Anne Hathway looks like a friggin' glowing goddess in this look. The gown is gorgeous and subtle but packs such a punch.

23. Darren Criss

Like Lena Waithe's rainbow cape, Darren Criss' blazer is borderline tacky. However, he makes it work for him and the entire ensemble is incredible. I certainly saved the best for last.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
