22 Signs You Are a Tech Nerd

So you think you're a Tech Nerd? Well, if you are a Tech Nerd, here is a list that may help you confirm the already known fact that you are.

1. You probably have a desktop computer and are reading this on it at school.

2. You probably built that desktop yourself and it is you life and soul most of the time (unless it acts up).

3. You have had a stern talking to most of your electronic devices begging them to work or else.

4. You work better than your university's or work's IT department and you just beg people to let you fix their computer because you know you can do it better and faster.

5. Family and Friends are always asking you why their computers or smartphones stopped working.

6. You probably play some incredibly nerdy kind of video game that takes up most of your spare time.

7. You are constantly tinkering with technology trying to fix things and make them better.

8. You are a hoarder of electronics and dealing with your family goes something like this: "Hey mom, please don't throw that 15-year-old computer out. I swear that I will use parts out of it someday.

9. You are totally proud of yourself when you finally do reuse those parts.

10. You are always showing your family how they can better use their smartphones by showing all of those nifty features that you know they will never use.

11. Your Tech Nerd status is not always just on computers it often extends to things like high powered Flashlights and you blind others often.

12. Don't even get me started on lasers.

13. You constantly look for leaks online to what features that new iPhone will have and you actually watch Apple Keynotes.

14. When people cannot understand technology you actually get frustrated.

15. You think that your operating system is obviously the best.

16. People look at you like you are crazy with the amount of money you spend on computer parts.

17. Loved ones try to keep you away from the computer parts store at any cost, but like trying to keep a fat kid away from a candy store it doesn't work.

18. Sometimes going to the computer lab at school aggravates you by how many people use technology.

19. You brag to your other friends by how fast you schools internet is, but you don't mention that you could only get that speed at 3 A.M. when you and 1 other person stayed on campus.

20. You always want the latest and greatest technology.

21. You remind yourself that nerds rule the World.

22. Your wallet will hate you once you buy that new piece of fantastic tech but you know it's worth it.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
