21 Things You Will Catch Yourself Saying To Your Roommates Daily

Living with roommates can be like a roller coaster: There are ups and there are downs. You have to learn to live with new people, how they clean, their laundry schedule, the candle scents they like and don't like, their eating habits.

Let's be honest it can be a pain at times.

But contrary to all of that, these roommates will become your best friends! You will start to question how you ever really survived without them this whole time, you'll start to spend pretty much every waking moment together, and you'll probably start to catch yourselves reciting all of these things to each other on the daily.

1. Can I shop in your closet?

Honestly, this probably happens more than once a day

2. Does this outfit look OK?

You most likely won't leave the apartment before getting their true and honest opinion! And they won't hold back if they think you need to change!

3. Can I borrow those cute heels?

You know the ones I borrow every week

4. And the necklace to match?

Hey, whats yours is mine, right??

5. Have you eaten yet?

Because most of our daily activities revolve around food

6. Let's cook together!

This will usually end up in a failed attempt to make a fancy meal (probably found on Tasty), almost burning the apartment complex down, and ordering a pizza instead

7. Watch a movie with me!

Your roommates will still love you even with your ugliest, mascara running, Kim K crying face.

8. Do we have enough wine?

The answer is never.

9. Are you home?

This exact text message gets exchanged anywhere from 5-10 times per day, usually with the intent to ask if the washer is free, if they want to go grab a coffee, or to get them hyped up for your most interesting story of the day!

10. When will you be home?

When you get crushed by hearing "no, I'm not"

11. Can I steal your ketchup?

And some milk, and your salsa?

12. Please don't make me go grocery shopping alone.

Who will sing with me in the car?

13. Do you have plans? No? Good, they're with me.

Is it wrong to assume that you and your roomie will do absolutely everything together? Nah. They usually won't be opposed

14. Did I turn my straightener off? Can you check?

This has stopped me from turning around and heading back home around 10 minutes into my commute, almost every morning

15. Did I blow my candle out? Can you check that too?

Stopping fires one roomie at a time

16. Did you hear a funny noise?

Once you've got your roomies by your side, and some makeshift weapons from the kitchen, you are convinced you can all take on whatever ghost or criminal is about to burst through the door!

17. Can I come in your room?

That usually means it's time to Netflix and eat ice cream

18. Can you put tan on my back?

TBH the handiest thing a roommate can do is save you the embarrassment of a streaky or white back, plus they deal with the orange stained hands especially for you

19. Can you go like my seflie?

You know that 'hottie" comment is coming along too

20. You have other friends??

Don't worry you are their favorite!

21. I could never get sick of y'all!

Love you both long time xoxo

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
