You don't have to have your life together in college. This is the
age where it's okay that you have no idea what you are doing... right?
Maybe that's the truth, until you realize that maybe you really need
to get your life together. If you can relate to more than one of the
following, there's a good chance your life is in shambles.
1. You swipe your credit card on faith. You cross your fingers while you wait and hope the machine says "approved."
2. You have no idea when you last ate a vegetable.
3. You talk to the McDonald's drive-thru worker more than your mom.
4. It's come to the point where you no longer check who you drunk texted last night, but who you drunk DMed.
5. Your organs might be shriveling up because you can't remember when you actually got eight glasses of water in.
6. You actually start to think of free meals at home as one of your best childhood memories.
7. Your serving of fruit for the day is provided by Barefoot.
8. People have started to notice that you wear the same shirt for days on end.
9. You pay your roommate to do your laundry, because at this point, it is absolutely worth every penny.
10. Your forever-changing graduation date is one of the things that keeps you up at night.
11. Recently, you have been thinking about texting your ex, when you've been repulsed by his name for the past two years.
12. You have eaten eight meals today instead of doing anything on your to-do list.
13. You have become the friend that everyone has to take care of on Saturday night.
14. You have become such a messy eater that your shirt could be a sample table at Sam's Club.
15. Convincing yourself to shower takes longer than the actual shower.
16. You start to envy your dog when you think about what a typical day is like for him.
17. You don't even blink when watching disastrous reality TV, because your life is pretty comparable.
18. You have six dollars in your bank account. You get paid NEXT Friday.
19. All of your responsibility takes place on Sundays, which usually ends with taking a three hour nap and getting half of your responsibilities done.
20. You spent your Uber money on your one more drink last night.
21. You are reading this instead of doing all of the important things you've been trying to convince yourself to get done.
You might not have it all together, but it is okay for life to be a little messy. Enjoy life while you are responsible for you and only you. When you are a parent taking care of a family and living the career life, you'll miss your days of spending your last few bucks on some chicken nuggets or cheap wine. Live your shambly life and love it.
