Everything You Need To Know About 21 Savage's Arrest

Yes, 21 Savage was arrested. Here's how it happened and what you need to know.

21 was arrested by ICE on Sunday, February 3rd

21 Savage is in ICE custody in Georgia and is awaiting a court hearing. He was arrested for allegedly overstaying his Visa. His case will be heard by a federal immigration judge who will determine what will happen with 21.

21 moved to the US in July 2005

ICE claims that 21 Savage is originally from the United Kingdom and he moved to the US in 2005 when he was 12 years old and overstayed his visa. He moved to Atlanta and has lived there ever since.

21 Savage has numerous ways to stay in the US

To start, 21 had no legal status when his parent's Visas ran out, meaning that his overstay is just a civil law violation that ICE is blowing out of proportion. Additionally, Savage has children that are US citizens that can provide him with relief.

Rappers such as Offset, A$AP Rocky, and Meek Mill have all shown their support for 21. Jay-Z has even hired an attorney to defend 21.

No matter what happens the next few weeks and no matter what new news surfaces none of this is going to change who Savage is. Although 21 was born in the UK he grew up in Atlanta a majority of his life, that is still part of his identity.
