Summer 2017 is quickly approaching and you're already dreading having to work during those amazingly nice days. But, what do we actually do on our days off? We typically relax. But, this summer, instead of relaxing, everyone should attempt to conquer their summer bucket lists. If you need some ideas on what to do on your days off, here are a few.

1. Play Messy Twister

Whether it be with a huge group of friends on a Saturday night, or with your family, gather up some colored shaving cream or paint and play a game of Messy Twister.

2. Go On A Long Road Trip (With No Destination)

Gather up some money and hop in the car with all your closest friends. Take a road trip to no where while blasting your favorite summer music.

3. Go To A Music Festival

Personally, this is my number one thing to cross off my bucket list this summer. Everyone should be able to experience a music festival.

4. Drive-In Movie Theater At Night

Take a trip to the closest Drive-In movie theater around you. Go with a group of friends and bring some cozy blankets. On a warm night with a slush and popcorn? What more could you ask for.

5. Stargaze On The Beach

Simple and it's free! Take a drive to your local beach and lay down a blanket and watch the stars. There's nothing more relaxing than the sound of the waves crashing onto shore with your closest pals.

6. Glow-stick Swim

Gather up all of your friends and get yourself some glow sticks from the store. Crack them open, throw them in the pool once it's dark outside, and swim the night away with your friends.

7. Spend The Weekend On A Lake

Have all of your friends and yourself toss money into a lake house for a weekend. Enjoy the outdoors with no distractions, enjoy the lake itself, and enjoy the amazing memories.

8. Try Every Ice Cream Place Around You

Who wouldn't want to try every ice cream flavor possible? Let alone every ice cream place around you? Try and switch up from your typical go-to ice cream shop and try somewhere new!

9. Get Henna Tattoos

These tattoos are a popular trend and look amazing on everyone. Let them try, peel them off, and you have a temporary tattoo for a few weeks

10. Throw A 'Throwback' Party

Gather up all of your friends and have a good time in your backyard, listening to throwback music, and enjoying the night.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
