I like award shows. I know some people think that's weird but I just love watching them. I especially love watching them when I know what is being nominated for each category. Unfortunately, I usually don’t know much of what is going on when I watch The Oscars. I usually have seen a couple of the movies being nominated but that’s the extent of my knowledge. Knowing what's going on makes watching the three-hour production much more enjoyable. Therefore I decided to do a little research on the films I was not familiar with in order to understand what was going on. Here's a brief synopsis of each movie nominated for best picture.
