Every birthday is important, but some are greater than others. Sixteen is a big deal because you can drive, at eighteen you're legally an adult and at 21 you can legally drink alcohol. In my opinion, 20 is severely overlooked as a milestone. It's the start of a new decade in your life! So, here are 20 thoughts you have when you turn 20.

1. IT'S MY BIRTHDAY!

2. Whoa I'm 20...

3. I'm officially not a teenager.

4. And I've been alive for two decades!

5. It's like I'm starting a new era of my life.

6. Nineteen was a really pointless age.

7. Now all those articles for "20-somethings" apply to me!

8. Do I get any perks for being 20?

9. I'm like, a for real adult now.

10. Should I start a serious savings account?

11. Is Mom going to make me schedule my own doctor appointments now?

12. I beat teen pregnancy!

13. I should make this year really memorable.

14. *Googles things that happened 20 years ago* THE LION KING is older than me??

15. I'm getting close to the age when it's a celebration to be pregnant.

16. I'm so not ready for marriage and kids.

17. I think I'm having a panic attack.

18. No, your twenties are when you have fun and do you!

19. I could move to a new city, travel, now is the time to take risks!

20. 365 days until I'm 21!

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
