The crazy thing about being in your 20s is that unlike your teenage years, everyone is in totally different stages of life. Some people have kids, some are married, some are creeping on 30 and have neither one. The beauty of our 20 is that it is the time to make mistakes, figure ourselves out and pave the road for the future of our choice.

Here are the twenty tips, facts, and thoughts every twenty something year old will need to hear or has already heard.

1. Change your major 1,000 times before you settle for something you don't feel committed to.

2. Always celebrate picking up your laundry with your toes, tossing it in the air and catching it.

That's an accomplishment.

3. Before you go on a date, send your location, name, and description of the other individual on the date to three trusted sources.

4. If you've gotten your kids' bellies full, made sure they're dressed and rested, nobody can judge you for using dry shampoo five days in a row.

5. You may not have your significant other right now to make memories with, but once you meet them, you'll have memories to tell them about.

Don't miss out on memories, even if you're making them alone.

6. Your real friends will not expect you to go out all the time.

They understand life happens and Netflix and Little Caesars is valuable girl/guy time.

7. The spare change in your bedroom, car, the bottom of your purse, and dryer can be taken and exchanged for dollars.

This usually is exceptionally handy for gas or a 4 for $4 at Wendy's.

8. If you think you need extra money to make ends meet, you can use the Takl app, Care.com app or ask to babysit .

Moms usually never say no.

9. If you need to appreciate the small things, go visit the occupants of a nursing home or play with an animal at the animal shelter.

10. At least once a week, look in the mirror and find one thing about yourself you admire.

11. Write a hand written letter to someone you care about and mail it.

That does so much more than a text message, and they may return the favor.

12. If you take just one dollar every day and save it in a jar, one year from then you will have $365.

That's very smart for emergency money, and easily begins saving habits.

13. When you begin to stress out ask yourself: will this matter in five months or better yet five years?

If the answer is no, do not stress about it for more than five minutes.

14. Each time you use social media, do lunges or squats. You'll then limit your phone time or at least make it worthwhile.

15. Set a big goal, once it's reached you can actually go online and name a star after yourself.

Thus justifying "make your dreams reach the stars." https://www.star-registration.com/

16. Make breakfast for your significant other. Dinner is nice, but getting up early and starting your day right with the one you love is magical.

17. Request a Friday night to spend with your parents. They will appreciate it more than you know.

18. If you need to escape taking a shot at the bar, just say you're allergic to whatever it is. It works like a charm.

19. Take pictures. Lots of them.

Because one day, that's all you'll have left.

20. Some of the best days of your life haven't happened yet, so don't stress.

The best is yet to come.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
