It's easy to say you're thankful for your family and friends, but this year, consider these when people ask you what you're thankful for.

1.) Your Favorite Book

Even if you don't like reading, nothing beats your favorite book (even if the last book you read was part of the Junie B. Jones or Magic Tree House series).

2.) Matching Sock

Some of us mismatch socks and some of us love when they match, so here's a big shoutout to matching socks. Matching socks help us feel like we have our lives together!

3.) Netflix and Hulu

Where would we be without them? Many lazy days would be silent without them.

4.) Good Hair Days!

If you're like me, you rarely have them so let's show appreciation for when we do.

5.) Headphones

No one ever realizes how important they are until you forget them, so this Thanksgiving, don't forget to say you're thankful for your headphones (and for other people's headphones so you're not stuck listening to their music).

6.) Indoor Plumbing

I bet you've never said thank you to your toilet before.

7.) Water

Even if you aren't fond of drinking it, it's a necessity for survival and hydration. Plus, you wouldn't get very far with bathing if you didn't have H2O.

8.) Mashed Potatoes

The most important part of Thanksgiving that we should give thanks to.

9.) Deodorant

Bus rides, grocery stores, and trains wouldn't be the same without it.

10.) Duct Tape

We can make wallets out of it, we use it to fix cars and house appliances. We even collected the ones with patters in middle school when we were all cringey.

11.) Games On Our Phones

Long road trips to Grandma's or Uncle Bobby's wouldn't be the same without them.

12.) Memes

How else are you going to bond with your in-laws and distant relatives? Whether it's one of the many Spongebob ones, the outdated Pepe the Frog ones, or "Wut in Tarnation", they can lighten almost any mood.

13.) Your Favorite Teacher

We always give thanks to our family, our friends, our significant others when our favorite teachers/professors deserves a thanks, too. They work hard, put effort into us students, and try their best to keep us awake!

14.) SparkNotes

I probably wouldn't be in college without it.

15.) Spotify, SoundCloud, Apple Music, Pandora

Without music, we'd be forced to listen to the people around us. We also wouldn't have anything to dance to at parties or much to sing along to in the car.

16.) Candles

Floral, warm, seasonal, birthdays. 'Nuff said.

17.) Coffee

The ultimate pick-me-up for Mondays. And Tuesdays. And any day, really.

18.) Canceled Classes

We all worship and live for those e-mails.

19.) Sunsets

They're beautiful and get our Melatonin going so that we sleep better, so say thanks to Mother Nature!

20.) Our Favorite Hoodie(s)

Whether we're cold or just feeling lazy, we still feel confident and we look great in our favorite hoodie. Hell, wear it to Thanksgiving dinner!

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
