Since summer is almost over, there's been more than enough time to have lots of fun. There's also been plenty of time to have a few not-so-ideal things happen. Here's a look at some of the best (and by best, I mean worst) summer struggles.
1. Trying to get rid of tan lines only to create more.
Doesn't that look lovely...
2. Having to work on the warmest, sunniest days.
Sunshine? What's that?
3. Having to decide whether or not you need a shower.
Nah, it's only been, like, 2 days.
4. Running or working out in the summer heat is never a good idea.
Running/working out in general isn't a good idea, so I'm not sure what you were thinking on this one.
5. Feeling guilty as you finish your 6th episode of Netflix for the day.
Whoopsie.
6. Feeling even more guilty when you start watching the 7th episode.
I'm already in too deep, might as well keep going, amirite?
7. When you finally want to do something fun, all of your friends work.
Uhh... Anybody out there?
8. Getting sunburnt beyond recognition.
9. Being slightly sweaty all the time.
Don't touch me.
10. Walking outside, realizing the humidity is 90%, then promptly going back inside.
It's like walking into a swimming pool but it's just the air.
11. When you finally get together with friends you just stare at each other because neither of you have any idea of what to do,
"What do you want to do?"
"I don't know. What do you want to do?"
"I don't know."
12. You are constantly forgetting what day it is.
This is actually a problem year-round...it's just amplified in the summer.
13. Being dumb smart enough to take summer classes then having to deal with reading and learning and stuff like that.
Didn't I already go through 9 months of this sh*t?
14. Having so many bug bites that it looks like you have constellations on your legs.
Awh, cute. Am I a tumblr girl yet?
15. Getting into your car after letting it sit in the sun for hours and realize you're being cooked alive.
I bet this is what it feels like to be a muffin.
16. Trying to do something outdoorsy/nature-y and your allergies take control.
It was a good effort.
17. Wearing denim shorts...
Need I say more?
18. Getting sand in all of your nooks and crannies.
Well, that's not going to be fun to get out.
19. Family vacation.
Family is great, spending 8 hours in the car with them is not.
20. Deciding to sleep until 2pm and destroying your sleep cycle in the process.
But really, what is sleep?
