Music is a very important thing in my life. It's medicine for me. Sometimes, it's the only thing that can make me feel better. There's music for every mood, endless music, and that's a comfort to me. Some of my favorite types of music are the songs that you feel more than you hear. The songs that fill your whole body instead of just your ears. The songs that encase your heart and send the beats through your pulse. Essentially, the songs that bring your soul to the surface.

That kind of music, for me, is EDM--or electronic dance music. Chillwave, electropop, whatever you want to call it. That's the music that does that for me, and I'm sure it will for you too.

1. World Away by Kasbo

Though this song is on the older side, it'll always be one of my all-time favorites. It's one of those melodies that just gets better and better as the song progresses.

2. Bloom by Odesza

Odesza has to be one of the artists that I hold closest to my heart. This was the first song I heard by the duo, and I fell in love. Their music is a perfect antidote to anxiety.

3. Gotta Push On by GRiZ

GRiZ has the funkiest, make-you-want-to-dance-your-soul-out kind of music and this song is a perfect representation of that. The deep tones of saxophones and the upbeat, positive lyrics make it the greatest song to listen to when you need a pick me up.

4. Divinity by Porter Robinson

Not to be dramatic, but Porter Robinson is a freaking prodigy. I heard this song live in the middle of a thunderstorm, and I've never experienced something so beautiful. Every one of his songs is an experience.

5. Lost (ft. Emilia Brandt) by Illenium

Illenium just released a new album, Awake, and there was not a single song that I didn't like. I loved them all, in fact. This is a song is one you'll feel in your whole body, a song that'll make you feel like you're on top of the world, and you'll never get tired of it.

6. Freesol (ft. Skyler Stonestreet) by Seven Lions

This song has such a quiet, pretty build up, that you won't expect the big, beautiful drop it leads to. It's the kind of song you want to hear when the sun rises and sets.

7. The Little Things (ft. Angela McCluskey) [Kasbo Remix] by Big Gigantic

Kasbo pretty much works magic in every song he produces or remixes. The pretty sounds and sweet melodies of this remix is something you'll feel in your chest before it hits your ears.

8. 3 by Flume

Every song by Flume is so unique in itself that I'm surprised with every new song I hear. 3 is definitely the kind of tune that'll make you float.

9. The World Is Ours by Jai Wolf

Everything Jai Wolf is apart of is magic. This song is one that'll make you feel like you're dancing among the stars like the album cover depicts.

10. Love Is Alive (ft. Elohim) [Savoy Remix] by Louis The Child

Though the original song is great on its own, this remix makes it even prettier. You won't be able to help but sway to it.

11. Sunset Lover [Manatee Commune Remix] by Petit Biscuit

Sunset Lover is probably one of the most relaxing tunes you could listen to. It really will make you want to watch it when the sun sets, with the right person.

12. Across The Room (ft. Leon Bridges) by Odesza

Leon Bridges alone is incredible, with his soulful voice and gospel-like songs. I almost fainted when I found out he was collaborating with Odesza, and I was not disappointed. I've listened to this over and over, and it'll never get old.

13. Thief by Ookay

I'm a sucker for the, especially funky tunes. The saxophones in this one are so dance-inducing, it's impossible not to groove to it.

14. GUD VIBRATIONS by SLANDER

This song will produce exactly what the title says. The beats are so unique in themselves, you'll want to listen again. And again.

15. With You [Jai Wolf Remix] by Dirty South

This is 5 minutes and 28 seconds of pure magic. It's one of my favorite songs right now, and the drop is so beautiful you'll want to fall right into it and live there.

16. un4getable by graves

Some of the best songs are the ones with surprising drops. And this one surprised me in the best way. It's one of those tunes that you feel all over your body.

17. Darling (ft. Missio) by Said the Sky

Listening to this song is literally like walking into a dream. There's no better way to describe it than that.

18. Secret Place by CloZee

This song has a kind of exotic feel, and it's impossible not to sway to. It really will take you away from reality, even if it's just for a moment.
