Lake George is always busy in the summertime because it is a tourist destination. Here are twenty things that make it known that you are in Lake George during the summer.

1. Americade.

2. Martha's Dandee Creme is open.

3. A&W is open.

4. There are tourists everywhere.

5. Thursday night fireworks.

6. There is so much traffic from exit 20 to 22.

7. The bike trail is open.

8. The horse carriages are out and making trips up and down Beach road.

9. Dog beach and Million Dollar are crowded with people.

10. There are parasailers out on the lake.

11. The lake is full of boaters and jet skiers.

12. Around The World is open and full of minigolfers.

13. You can hear the cannon going off every hour.

14. You can hear the steamboats coming and leaving the docks.

15. Everyone has on summer edition Local t-shirts.

16. The sidewalks of Canada Street are crowded with tourists.

17. There are runners and walkers going up and down Beach road.

18. Dogs are swimming at Dog beach.

19. Girl Scouts are selling glow necklaces every Thursday for the fireworks.

20. The village is loud, but I would not have it any other way.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.
