Every girl that has ever gone to the gym has had these thoughts at least once or twice. From the guy who grunts to the guy who asks if you need help—I promise you, we do not need your help. No matter the workout, these thoughts rule your mind while you're ruling the gains.

1. Am I doing arms or legs today?

You never quite know what day it is because they all blur together.

2. How do I use this machine?

Because why ask when you can just mess it up yourself.

3. I'm going to ask that hot guy over there.

But then you realize that it is way more complicated to do, so you decide to ask that normal looking guy on the other side of the gym.

4. He's wearing Sperry's...never mind.

You should never trust a guy wearing Sperry's at the gym.

5. I am sweating enough to fill the entire Atlantic Ocean right now.

No amount of antiperspirant could help the gym from not flooding right now.

6. Maybe I should grunt like that guy over there.

Which was a bad idea because you just sounded like a squealing pig.

7. Let's add some more weight to this rep.

Which leads to immediate regret.

8. Oh no, that crack did not sound right.

Your back should never make that noise.

9. That cute guy is coming around the corner, squat low in 3...2...1.

Because guys love when you can squat low, right?

10. No, I do not need help carrying this 10 pound barbell.

I promise you I can carry this all by myself.

11. Please stop making eye contact with me when my legs are spread.

Do you not think this makes me uncomfortable? Because it does.

12. Actually just don't look at me at all.

I will stare back.

13. Okay, I was totally using that machine, but go ahead and take it.

I just left my water bottle there for you.

14. I'm just going to walk around until you're done with my machine.

Because that was the last thing I had to do and now I feel uncomfortable.

15. What's that smell?

I will pass out if I get another whiff of that.

16. It's totally me.

I am currently praying for everyone in this building, so sorry.

17. This song always gets me so pumped.

Basically anything by Beyonce can make a workout so much easier.

18. I am so tired, can I go home yet?

But it's probably only been 15 minutes.

19. I need someone to carry me to my house please.

Send your strongest bodybuilder because I need help.

20. I miss the gym already.

Because no matter how hard the workout was, you know you'll be back at it tomorrow.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
