I've always loved Harry Potter.

I've read and reread the books, taken every sorting quiz on the internet and religiously watch Freeform when its a Harry Potter weekend. Normally I try to keep my geeky side under wraps but I can't when it comes to the wizarding world. J.K. Rowling's universe is the perfect escape from the real world. The wizarding world is one where anything is possible and people believe in magic, miracles, and the power of hope. I'm one of those people who will never outgrow the series.

It has seen me through too much to just leave it behind. Harry, Hermione, and Ron have been my companions since middle school. They have helped me through hard times and continue to do so. I've caught myself thinking "If a bunch of kids can repeatedly save the world, why can't you pass your chemistry final?"

Here are some of the most magical lines from Harry Potter for every witch and wizard (and the muggles, too):

1. “The thing about growing up with Fred and George... is that you sort of start thinking anything's possible if you've got enough nerve.”

2. “If you want to know what a man’s like, take a good look at how he treats his inferiors, not his equals.”

3. "What's comin' will come, an' we'll meet it when it does."

4. “Numbing the pain for a while will make it worse when you finally feel it.”

5. "I solemnly swear that I am up to no good"

6. "Don't let the muggles get you down"

7. “Really Hagrid, if you are holding out for universal popularity, I'm afraid you will be in this cabin for a very long time"

8. "Mr. and Mrs. Dursley of number four, Privet Drive, were proud to say that they were perfectly normal, thank you very much"

9. "It does not do to dwell on dreams and forget to live"

10. "Happiness can be found even in the darkest of times if one only remembers to turn on the light"

11. "Fear of a name only increases fear of the thing itself"

12. Every human life is worth the same and every life is worth saving"

13. "After all this time? Always"

14. “The scar had not pained Harry for nineteen years. All was well.”

15. “You care so much you feel as though you will bleed to death with the pain of it.”

16. “We've all got both light and dark inside us. What matters is the part we choose to act on. That's who we really are.”

17. “You fail to recognize that it matters not what someone is born, but what they grow to be!”

18. “One can never have enough socks.”

19. “Let us step into the night and pursue that flighty temptress, adventure.”

20. "It takes a great deal of bravery to stand up to our enemies, but just as much to stand up to our friends."

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
