1."Let this moment be the first chapter."

This is the first time we are all on our own and our lives are finally beginning.

2. “Get your education, don’t forget from where you came.”

Just make sure you don’t forget about your parents, they did help you get to where you are now.

3.“Why do you write like you’re running out of time?"

To answer your question this paper is due in three hours…

4. “You want a revolution? I want a revelation.”

I’m just looking for all the answers to my finals that I’m struggling to study for.

5. “I am young, scrappy and hungry.”

Relatable, very relatable, I’m always hungry.

6. “The moments when you're in so deep, feels easier to just swim down.”

Somedays just don't go your way, lay in bed have a good cry, but just know that in the next day or so something is going to make your day brighter. You aren't alone.

7. “If you stand for nothing, what do you fall for?”

College is the time where you are supposed to find yourself, I urge everyone to find the causes they are most passionate about.

8. "Let's have another round tonight."

9. "I'm asking you to be my right hand man"

through And here is where I thank my best friend for always being by my side especially when we make our silly decisions together.

10. “We have seen each other through it all.”

Oh yes, that same best friend has followed through on every silly mistake or idea you have.

11. “There’s trouble in the air I can smell it.”

12. "Lord, show me how to say no to this."

There are so many nights where no should be said, but well it’s college live your life you can say no when you’re old.

13. “I remember that night, I just might regret that night for the rest of my days.”

This could be said for a number of reason, but it’s always because of a great story.

14. “Seize the moment and stay in it.”

Take every opportunity you can, as cliché as it sounds, live your life to the fullest.

15. “I’m helpless.”

16. “We rise, and we fall, and we break, and we make our mistakes."

There are so many mistakes and pitfalls to be made throughout college, BUT we will all make it through, I have confidence in all of us!

17. “Down for the count and I’m drowning in it.”

All I have to say is finals week…

18. “We gon’ rise up!”

It’s our time to take over the world, hopefully in a positive way.

19. “I am not throwing away my shot.”

20. “There’s a million things I haven’t done, but just you wait.”

Personally, this is one of my favorite quotes from the entire musical. I believe that our lives are just beginning and here we go, it’s our time. I know I’m not even close to done with the number of things I want to do with my life, I want to leave my mark on the world. Here goes nothing, just you wait.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating.
