18 Times Gordon Ramsay Perfectly Summed Up My Spring Semester

*Screams internally*

Oh, boy. This semester kicked my butt, to say it lightly. I was all over the place. I was happy, but the workload hit and things went crazy. But that's okay, summer is here now!

I've been watching a lot of Gordon Ramsay shows, and because of this, I realized his personality, sense of humor, and emotions definitely describe college. Here are 18 ways Chef Ramsay described my spring semester.

1. The professors I had were very disorganized.

Assignment after assignment, I couldn't catch a break. Everything was scattered, due dates were not set in stone, and things fell behind because of the professors' stupid mistakes. I was PISSED.

2. I felt more lost than ever before.

Seriously, what the heck is going on? It felt like this semester was definitely the hardest. Somehow, I came out with good grades!

3. I was super sleepy during my 8 A.M.

I have had classes at 8 A.M. before, but this semester was very confusing and tiring. Maybe it was because of the disinterest of the class.

4. I also felt a little stupid.

I had a professor this semester who made me feel dumb when she was the one screwing up the majority of the time. I felt like, indeed, a bozo.

5. Or very stupid.

I am an idiot sandwich. There is nothing left to say about this. The gif explains it all in a very humorous way!

6. I'm not lying.

I may be book smart, but common sense was never my expertise. Oops.

7. I was very stressed, at the least, about absolutely everything.

I probably cut five years off my life because of the burden we call stress. College is hard, man.

8. Quiet hour rules were broken on weeknights.

But this was not my doing. My neighbors decided to have a sub in their apartment, and they neglected to tell everyone that it shook the house whenever it was on. The bass was that bad.

9. I lived in the "house of doom".

Just like the fall semester, the unfortunate mishaps of the "house of doom" continued. Broken bulbs, smoking stoves, and flooded floors. The list was a mile long. What a mess this was, indeed.

10. Sickness... EVERYWHERE.

Spray some Lysol and get away from me. I had a giant sinus infection that lasted over a month in the fall. Let's not recreate that, thank you!

11. Group projects were hard, especially when you had members not knowing what their roles were.

It really was a joke. I couldn't control these people, so I had no way of knowing if I was going to get an A or a D. Some of these losers would do all the work last minute. Come on!

12. There were a lot of tears.

I seriously did cry a lot, to the point where I wanted to drop out. It was hard at times and I will never forget it.

13. I thought a lot about summer while I was in the coldest and longest winter.

For some reason, this winter was way too long. The cold started in November and ended in April. I was over the frigid winds and the pop-up snow showers. So, during this time, summer was on my mind. The beach was where I wanted to be.

14. The school food was actually horrible... still.

My stomach was in knots if you know what I'm saying. Every bite was disguised as good, but it was always bad indeed. It was considered "gourmet", but shitty food is anything BUT gourmet.

15. Work kicked my butt.

The fall semester wasn't bad, but the spring was the death of me for some reason. There were so many big events that included a lot of strenuous lifting and horrible standing.

16. I was busy EVERY. SINGLE. DAY.

School, work, volunteer. Wake up, eat, class, volunteer, work, go to sleep, repeat. This was almost every single day. I rarely had any time off this semester, but at least I was kept busy and not bored.

17. I went crazy a few times.

I seriously lost my mind. I had many moments where I had to take a walk to relax and to prevent anything from escalating.

18. All in all, I had so much fun!

This semester really did pay off. I got Dean's List! Plus, I created so many good memories with my roommates and friends. That in itself made it all worth it. I'll never give up on my academics, even though it can be frustrating at times.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
