17 Things That Happen When There's An LF Sale

It's that time of year, ladies. The LF 60 percent off the store sale madness is finally upon us. Located in five different areas, including Soho, NY and Miami, FL, the crazy popular clothing store called LF is one of a kind and home to some of the trendiest, messiest arranged clothing items on the planet. This joyous occasion occurs twice a year: once in August and once in February. For every regular LF shopper, you know the drill by heart. But if you're a newbie, let me break it down for you. Here are 17 things that happen when an LF sale strikes.

1. You internally freak out about this rare opportunity in which you can actually afford their clothes.

2. You walk into the store and have no clue where to even begin.

3. Fact: There are just as many clothes on the floor as there are on hangers and tables.

4. You have to comb through mountain high clothing piles until figuring out what you like.

5. At some point you accept the fact that you won't be able to look at everything because there's just too much territory to cover.

6. You also reach a point where you feel like you might sweat to death.

7. Your arm starts to hurt after about five minutes from all the clothes you're holding onto for dear life.

8. You come to the conclusion that this store is the sole reason why "shopping is my cardio" is a real saying.

9. You've never seen more girls from NJ, NY, or Long Island in one clothing store in your life.

10. There are always a bunch of dads/boyfriends sitting around in chairs being dragged here by their daughter/wife/girlfriend/etc.

11. The wait for a dressing room is as slow as watching paint dry; same with the line to pay.

12. Some girls will start stripping in front of a mirror to try on stuff because the dressing room line is absurd.

13. You probably brought close to 50 items into the dressing room because You Only Lf sale Once (a year) right?

14. You struggle narrowing down which clothes you want because you love literally all of it.

15. You constantly justify the price of the item by thinking about how much more expensive the original price was.

16. When you're done trying on all your clothes, you feel mentally and physically drained.

17. But more importantly, you leave the store, bags in hand, feeling like the happiest girl in the world; it's like you won the lottery.

Is it worth it? Absolutely. Happy LF sale shopping!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
