Curly hair: those who have it don't want it, and those who don't have it desperately wish they did. For as many pros curly hair has, there are just as many cons to go with them. While no two curly-haired people are exactly the same, the curly experience tends to be universal. Here are 17 experiences every curly-haired girl knows to be true.

1. You often saw yourself as the “before” part of the makeover.

2. People with straight hair telling you they wish they had curly hair...

3. And then in the same breath, telling you that you should straighten your hair more.

4. The look people give you when you tell them you don’t wash your hair every day.

5. “Why don’t you just brush it?"

6. Friends and complete strangers touching it without your permission.

7. "How do you get your hair like that??"

8. All the "curly hair tutorials" you can find are just girls with straight hair curling it and then styling it.

9. And curled hair clogging up the curly hair tags basically everywhere.

10. When other people complain about their hair frizzing up and you're just like.

11. Wanting to shave your head every time something goes wrong.

12. You probably own drawers filled with products that didn't work for your hair.

13. And then when you did find something that works, you hoard bottles of it.

14. When a bottle says to use a "dime-sized" amount.

15. When girls with wavy hair complain about their "curls."

16. While girls with kinky/ coily curls probably look at girls that complain about ringlet curls like.

17. But in the end, you actually wouldn't trade your curly hair for anything in the world.

So you go girl, go out into the world and own that untamable lion's mane.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
