I love quotes. I love when I find a quote that explains exactly what I’m feeling. I love when I’m scrolling through Twitter or Tumblr and I come across a quote, and it’s exactly what I need at that point in time. I feel like quotes allow me to put my thoughts and feelings into perfect words, words that I could never come up with on my own. So, I decided to compile a bunch of different quotes that have helped me at one time or another. The vast majority of these are inspirational and exactly what I needed to here at a moment in time. I think that these quotes are a reminder that you are in control of your own life, to keep moving forward and that everything is going to be okay in the end. I hope that these quotes help whoever reads this, and I hope that they do the same things they have done for me. Without further ado, here are some of my favorite quotes:

1."Nothing will change in your life if you don’t do something different from what you’ve been doing."– Anonymous

2.“No matter what bad stuff happens right now, there is always a time in the future where you can either fix it or move on. This will all pass.”– Unknown

3."Never wait around for a boy, he’ll come to you. Sometimes you need to be busy too, just to let him know that the sun doesn’t rise and shine over him." – A Mother’s Advice to her Daughter

4."When life gets harder, challenge yourself to be stronger."– Unknown

5.“I’m suspicious of people who don’t like dogs, but I trust a dog when it doesn’t like a person.” – Bill Murray

6."No matter how much the truth hurts, it’s always better than being lied to." – Unknown

7.“Until you get comfortable with being alone, you’ll never know if you’re choosing someone out of love or loneliness.”– Unknown

8."They loved you. They no longer love you. Get over them, they aren’t worth your time. Don’t stalk their page, don’t ask their friends how they are doing. You’re just torturing yourself. Accept that they are gone. Love yourself."– Unknown

9."And now that you don’t have to be perfect, you can be good.” John Steinbeck

10.“Hey listen, it’s alright, feeling a little heartbroken now and then is a good thing. It’s how you know you still care. It’s how you know there are things for you in this world that still matter, that are still worth hurting for.” Beau Taplin

11.“If you spend your whole life waiting for the storm, you’ll never enjoy the sunshine.”Morris West

12.“You all have a little bit of ‘I want to save the world’ in you, that’s why you’re here, in college. I want you to know that it’s okay if you only save one person, and it’s okay if that person is you.” Unknown

13.“You just do it. You force yourself to get up. You force yourself to put one foot before the other, and God damn it, you refuse to let it get to you. You fight. You cry. You curse. Then you go about the business of living. That’s how I’ve done it. There’s no other way.” Elizabeth Taylor

14.“We are all broken, that’s how the light gets in.” Ernest Hemingway

15."And once you lose yourself, you have two choices: Find the person you used to be or lose that person completely."– Brooke Davis

16."Life kicks you around sometimes, it scares you and it beats you up. There's a day when you realize you're not just a survivor, you're a warrior. You're tougher than anything it (life) throws your way." – Brooke Davis

17.“You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself any direction you choose. You're on your own. And you know what you know. And YOU are the one who'll decide where to go...”– Dr. Seuss

As always, I’m sending lots of love to each and every one of you.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
